Hi, I am a college student writing a paper on the lgbt community, and am not allowed to use myself as a source. If you would like, simply share anything about your experience that stands out. Whether it's coming out, prejudice, or peoples reactions when they learn more about you, or whatever you come up with, feel free to share! Even if I knew who anyone was I'd keep it anonymous, of course.

Perhaps you could provide some interview-style questions. Also, what type of course is this for/ what is the assignment?

Well, bi-gendered people can have quite a difficult time as far as people's reactions go. Because we're half cis and half not people often just refer to us as our physical sex and the other side of us gets ignored. I think there's also a common misconception that bi-gendered people suffer from multiple personality disorder. Most of us are the same person whether in a more masculine or feminine mode.

I got recognized as bi-gendered without telling someone for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. Because you're not one way or the other people often assume bi-gendered people are just indecisive or trying to make up their minds about which gender to go with. It's amazing to meet someone who recognizes both in me and doesn't just assume that I'm choosing one over the other.

    Yep, questions would definitely help.

I was in love with a close friend for years and think still am.
But the funny thing is in the beginning of this feeling I've never heard of something like homosexuals or lesbians...just thought 'yep I kinda like this girl' and nothing else.
    I've always been gay:slight_smile:
I just thought that would be funny to share:grin:

I think it would be better if you could ask some specific questions.

ok, so basically I am asking
1st: Have you ever experienced prejudices or assumptions about who you are because of your sexuality?
2nd: If so, how? what did the person assume about you?
3rd: How were they correct and incorrect about you?

Thank you, to those who already responded; it's a huge help!
