Does anyone else here like lego? I'm 33 and still think it's awesome.

When I was young I used to love space lego and pirate lego. My son has loads of star wars lego and it's so cool. I love helping him build them.

I know I may just be a sad grown up man, but hey, it's like we all say, you like what you like.

    What about you?

    Happy days

My dad played with my Lego. He gave up when I began building bigger projects. It was handy having a helper, but he made too many mistakes that delayed completion of my projects. He prefers simple, relaxing hobbies. I think it was good parenting that he tried though.

If people think it's childish... they haven't tried Lego Technic. You follow instructions to build cool things that you can often control. After a while you can make your own stuff. It soon becomes easier to envision the result. I still kill some weekends playing with Lego. Bionicles are much easier to build, and I'll play with them when I feel too lazy. You get movies and video games about them as well.

I love LEGO. Absolutely love it. I hadn't bought a new set in years, but I saw the movie, loved it, and promptly started buying them again. ^_^

    I don't.

    ^^Said no one. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Legos were always my most prized toys. And now that I'm older with more sophisticated tastes, I play with more sophisticated building blocks XD.

LEGO IS AMAZING XD But stepping on the Lego bricks is not. At all. #WorstThingEver. I still need to see the Lego Movie

OMG, ^this to the XXXXX power. Legos were my childhood. And back when my brother and I were building our life-sized (or so they seemed to us) race cars, helicopters, battleships, and cities, we were doing it before all these fancy predesigned sets came out. We'd just spill out our massive chest of assorted Legos all over our bedroom floor and start building. (Although it was a good way to get your ouchie on, stepping on those things!)

Sigh, what I wouldn't give to be on that bedroom floor again...

I liked Lego when I could play with it. Disliked it when I had to separate the pieces, especially the small ones. And I hated it when I stepped on the remnants of my brother's gameplay on the floor. Still do. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I can relate here, I used to love it before the predesigned sets. I mean, I like the star wars lego and used to love my pirate lego, but nothing beat tipping out all your random lego pieces and letting your imagination run wild.

    Happy days

Lego is awesome!! I love it. It's just brilliant fun.

The only sucky part is pulling the pieces apart. They just don't move!

I grew up with Lego back in the sixties; way before it got so elaborate and movie-themed (which I don't mind by the way).

I was never much of a Lego kid. I liked them but I much preferred K'nex. I have probably 100,000 + pieces. I still build stuff with them today. I am currently working on a binary adding machine.

I liked them, but my parents only gave me the basic blocks and some wheels lol, none of those fancy sets. So the coolest thing I could make was a house and a truck. =/
