What languages do you speak or want to learn?

    I myself speak my native language, Spanish, and also English. I've studied other two languages too. One is Japanese, which I've recently started to learn again, but I'm not proficient enough to speak/write (I hope I'll be soon tough ^_^). The other one is Mapudungún, the language of native Mapuche people (also known as Araucanians) of my country, Chile, but I'm just starting with it.

    I really love languages, and if I have enough life, I'll study until I speak good enough Japanese and Mapudungún, and then I'll learn Chinese, Arabic, Russian, German, some African language and then some others more.

    What about you dear friends, what languages do you speak and/or would like to learn?

    Just kidding. English is my native language, but here in the US, foreign language was never much of a priority in schools until now. So I'm also learning German. I'd love to become more fluent in German, and then maybe learn something else like Russian.

    I'm a native English speaker, but I speak Spanish and study French and German. I also need to pick up Swedish or Finnish to get my EU citizenship, but that's not as much of a priority as my classes (Spanish, French and German)

    I would love to pick up Italian or Dutch, but that can wait. :lol:

    My native language is English.

    I speak intermediate-level Japanese, almost intermediate-level Spanish, a tiny bit of Chinese, and I'm just now trying to learn the Korean alphabet.

    I want to be a linguist when I'm older, so I hope to be fluent in at least 5 languages by the time I turn 30.

    I know Greek, not fluently, but well enough to have a long lasting conversation with someone and socialize.

    That's a language I'd like to learn too! In general I like to learn languages which would give me the opportunity to access the widest and most interesting information possible first. Greek is clearly one of those important languages.

    I know English and Chinese, and a bit of other languages.

    I'd like to learn Latin, Spanish or Greek. Or hieroglyphs. Words are too limited.

    My native language is actually both Spanish and English because my parents taught me both. I am a native speaker in both.

    I also took French for several years and, though my francophone skills leave much to be desired, am able to read it enough to comprehend it.

    There are many languages I'd love to learn, but first I'd like to increase my proficiency in French.

    I speak English (native language) and am currently learning/studying German.

    Personally, I would love to learn Russian, Latin, Greek, Italian, Finnish, and Chinese or Japanese. At the moment Spanish would probably be the most beneficial to learn next (I'm around a lot of spanish speakers in school), but I honestly have no desire to learn the language.

    Video games have led me to learn other languages!

    I'm slowly working on Spanish and Russian. I'd really like to learn German though.

    I like to say I'm bilingual, but in reality I am only fluent in English and just can understand, not speak, my parents' native language, Malayalam. Besides that, I know Latin pretty well after taking it in high school and college, and by extension, I learn bits and pieces of modern Romance languages, but I would like to learn more. I would like to learn French, Spanish, and Portuguese. I think I'm more of an amateur linguist since I care more about learning word origins and grammar than conversational abilitiy.

    I want to get fluent in German, might be useful if I plan to move to Berlin. I'd also like to learn Swedish because it's cool.

    I'm afraid I don't speak anything other than English fluently. I know a little French, German and Danish, but I would struggle conversationally with all three languages.

    Would like to improve my German and learn Portugese.

    I speak english and i did study french for 3 years but i cant remeber that much XD

    I really want to learn Japanese because i love the language and culture and country and Swedish because i want to move there ^.^
