    I was once told that all gay men are camp. I know that's not true because I'm not camp. But still I want to see how wrong that is.

    Used to be more camp as a child, I did not and could not understand why there was a distinction between boys and girls and why I got 'the look' when I said 'I like painting more than football' or 'I like this pink chair'.

    Of course now I'm much less feminine than then but I don't think I'm the type of guy that people go 'omg wow' when they find out I like guys. And I certainly don't wrestle with crocodiles! :lol:

    I wouldn't say I'm camp.

    That said, I feel that there is a stigma in the LGBT community against people who "act camp." Some may feel that those who "act camp" give a bad name to the LGBT community by "lowering" us as a whole to the level of caricatures.

    I wouldn't say I "am camp." I certainly can "act camp" with the best of them when the situation demands it. I think most people who know me in other contexts would find it surprising that I am that way at all--that's how I would say it is with most of my friends. We have fun with it from time to time, but it's certainly not any kind of identity.
