    I don't know if this has been asked before, but how many of you guys are left handed?
    I am a lefty :smilewave and I only use the right hand when it is the only choice or, because living in a world where right handed people are the majority, I'm sort of obligated to use it.

    I'm ambidextrous. :slight_smile:

    My left hand isn't very good with writing, but I can throw/catch things better with my left and I usually hold my fork/chopsticks with my left.

    I would like it so that my right hand is atleast useful, unfortunately it isn't.

    I'm a lefty! well... at least in throwing and writing. Anything swing related (golf, baseball) I am right handed. Well that's not true... I play tennis left handed. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I am kind of a blend depending on what I am doing :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    I am also ambidexutrous but I can only write with my right hand while I can use both for everything else .

    im right handed but i shoot left in hockey and for baseball i swing left as well. i can shoot a rifle left or right handed but prefer right handed.

    Use my left for throwing, swinging, strength stuff and right for writing, cutting, precision stuff so... ambidextrous? :shrug:

    Yeah, there aren't many things I can do well with both hands. They each have different functions that are fairly evenly spread. So I use both hands, just not at the same time or for the same things usually.

    I've heard of one ambidextrous woman who can write with each of her hands simultaneously in English and Mandarin. That's the crazy kind of ambidextrous!

    There's a poll somewhere on EC. Both here in the poll results and in my own experience, there definitely seems to be a correlation between being left-handed and being gay. I think the numbers are something like 30-35% of LGBT people are left handed vs about 10% of the general population.

    I'm left-handed and was in a car with 3 other gay guys and we happened to figure out that we were all left-handed. It was just sort of an odd moment for all of us as we'd never been "in the majority" in that way :slight_smile:

    I've actually thought about this myself. Many lefties I have seen seemed to be gay or atleast bisexual. So I guess it does have some sort of correlation. Thanks for the info Chip.

    I always assumed that I was completely right handed, but I recently discovered that I actually write better with my left hand. It completely took me by surprise.
