I'm a mythology/fairytale geek and I just wanted to know if anyone is as obsessed as I totally am  Besides I'd like to make some new friends on here, everyone on here seems so cool

Anyway another question, are there any actual LGBT Gods/Goddesses in mythology? I know there's people who say Artemis from Greek mytho is a lesbian goddess but are there any others, maybe in different world mythologies?

My Greek mythology skills aren't on point too much but I read somewhere that people consider her a lesbian type Goddess because she's one of the three "virgin goddesses" and then also she hangs out with a group of girls/huntresses and she's the protector of girl's chastity and woman in general.

I like mythology. And fairytales. And feminism.
If you're talking about greek mythology, in general the ancient greeks thought homosexuality as a pretty normal thing, so many gods were bisexual.
For example, Zeus and Ganymede, Apollo and Hyacinth...

    Nope.
Ever thought of the past of some women?
    For example in 19th century.
They weren't allowed to vote, had to do household.....

    Wikipedia:
Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, cultural, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women.

    Where's chauvinism?

I hate feminism in the same manner I hate male chauvinism. I am a man and I hate when a man believe he's superior to a woman but at the same time I hate when a woman believe she's superior to a man. We are one, we men and you women.

However, we're going off topic. If you want to chat with me about that, let's use wall messages

If you're comparing male chauvinism to feminism then your perception of feminism is a little bit off. Are there radical feminists out there that do take things to the extreme and have some very bad views and values such as the, " Kill all men," type feminists? Yes there are. But they only make up a small number of our group and most feminists don't like them anyway. They're like the PETA of feminism, you're always going to have some radical/bad groups of people in any cause.

Feminism is about empowering woman in a male dominated world. Yes, woman definitely have some more rights than they used to if we compare from the 1900s to now (depending on what parts of the world though) but there are still problems in society that need to be fixed. We still have pay gaps, slut shaming, unrealistic expectations of what a "real" woman is, and stereotypes that should be shot down. Feminism even helps men in a way I mean people think it's bad to be "feminine" or un-manly, but there's nothing wrong with being feminine, it shouldn't be derogatory, feminism therefore also helps guys who are a little bit "different."

It's not about becoming better than men at all, it's about helping woman reach equal grounds with men.

What the hell did you understand, Robin? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
I say that feminism is about advocating the equality of men and women. In every movement there are some fundamentalists but, if you only notice them you lose the whole point.

Arghhh I have no time to say more, although is one of my favorite topics. Bye everyone!
