That gay marriage will cause the economy to collapse as not all marriages will produce children. I didn't get it.

No kidding. I was browsing the web and I found a site with a member called "American Who Knows The Evils Of Gays" who said that in response to somebody who asked him why he didn't want gay people to marry.

 

I've heard that one. And when pressed how that works, it gets even more illogical.

 

the lamest was gay marriage doesn't produce children and that is the only reason people should marry. not all hetro marriages produce children, so should these people not be permitted to marry? and should fertility be the test for marriage? and should, when people have children and don't want more or can't have more should the marriage be dissolved? what about when children are grown? dissolve at that time? no one has an answer to that

 

Let's see, my mum gave me this one:

I haven't seen the "children need a dad and a mom" yet. Have you heard of single parents? Also "I don't care either way, because all the lesbians I know have been really annoying." Sounds like a GREAT reason to not care about human rights.

 

That it would lead to people marrying animals, minors, and inanimate objects.
