Once I woke up at 6:00 a.m. and went to sleep at 10:30 p.m. the next day. ^_^
I was at an all night cancer research fundraising event.

When I was 14 I stayed up for about 45 straight hours...I don't remember going to sleep, I just kinda remember waking up. xD

Somewhere in the region of 25-36 hours I think. Just... gaming and eating and other things that are good at keeping you awake.

    With or without powernaps?

I stayed awake last Thursday from 7am until Saturday 3am because I had to finish this essay before the deadline, which makes us 44 hours?
And the essay turned out to be shit because word count was counting my footnotes too so I wrote less words than I should have :frowning2: but ok no one cares

The longest I've ever stayed awake? Error 404: Can't function right now due to lack of sleep.

With absolutely no naps or sleep? I wasn't mentally well. 72~ hours. After 24 hours, it almost felt as if I woke up again. Then I felt tired again somewhere around 30 hours. After 40 - 50 hours... I saw black shadow creatures and shadow spiders rising from the floor. Near the end I was seeing all kinds of crazy crap, but I just didn't care anymore. I figured I best sleep before I fall somewhere and injure myself. I'm not sure if I was able to feel much in the way of fear by that time! My thoughts were too slow. It's difficult to recall the feelings. I then slept for at least 12 hours!!

Something like 41 hours. I've had a lot of procrastination.

This is not so much a staying awake for consecutive hours, but I once had 6 hrs sleep in a whole week.

Other than that, it was probably when my kids were born. My youngest I was up a 6 on the morning my wife was induced and never went to bed until around 11 the next day. I was so tired I nearly crashed the car on the way home. Luckily my wife and newborn were still in hospital and my oldest at his nans.

    Happy days

Yeah...once you cross a certain threshold with sleep deprivation hallucinations tend to occur.

Speaking of which, hallucinations was the reason 14yr old me was determined not to sleep. The idea fascinated me and I was determined to trigger them through sleep deprivation x3

like maybe 23 hours, and that was due to work and just being more convenient to not sleep at all. Yeah I haven't lived that much.

I know what you mean. I think it's the adrenaline rush. I've done this a couple times, and at third block (around noon) I always crash. Recently I stayed up 27-ish hours for a fundraiser and I crashed almost immediately at around 8:00 am.

I woke up on a Monday at about 10/11AM and did not go to bed until Wednesday at 11PM. I took a couple 15 minute naps here and there. And at one point I slept for an hour, but that was it. I had coffee, energy drinks and a whole bunch of caffeine. The first night I was up doing homework, and the second night I was up doing homework and spending time with a friend who did not want to be alone. Then I had to move home for winter break, and that was a whole nother adventure.

People have died playing video games for 70+ hours, with no sleep, and almost nothing in the way of breaks. Hopefully joe public doesn't think that's typical of all gamers.

HOW. I would be dead. You must have ran on only adrenaline. There was a guy that accidentally fell asleep in a hot air balloon and survived. How lucky.

You can see 'fake' stuff close to 18~ hours, depending on many factors. It might be fake, but to the person seeing it... very real. Most people see the crazy stuff after 3 or 4 days.

Hallucinations might be cool for a short time, but when you're stuck with them... not so much. I don't think you need me to tell you that now you're older. Before I took meds, it was dangerous to listen to certain types of music. The voices and noises would merge with fake voices and noises. Scary visions. Weird tastes. Breathing walls.

A guy told me the army taught him to (mostly) stay up for 48 hours before becoming tired. With a short nap, you can trick your brain into thinking you're refreshed. Not exactly SAS torture standards, but I wouldn't fancy it!

Personally, I found that recently I can do 24 hours and a bit more with the aid of energy drinks, but then I NEED sleep. I also read that getting enough sleep is imperative to looking young. As if I needed reasons to enjoy sleep.

I would say around 36-48 hours.... I can't rightly remember though.

    Well I suppose that's true ^^

It was one of many things I attempted to do when I was younger. I also tried to give myself insomnia, and at one point I had a theory on how to give myself multiple personality disorder and attempted to put it into practice ( I was a weird person ^^' )

144 hours or 6 days. I don't recommend anyone ever doing that.
