just wondering if theres any other fellow therians/ otherkin. I had no idea where else to put this. I feel generally lonely in the LGBT community as a therian. I'm a wolf and pitbull therian and a gryphon and possibly dragon otherkin

I advise you to put the therianthropy on hold for now. 3+ kintypes!? You're not gonna enjoy hearing this, but I don't think you are going to feel this way in 5 years.

I try to phantom shift on purpose, and the mental shifts happen randomly. I think it's because of being surrounded by people (a.k.a. school)

Also, Lawrence I accept that. I currently just need a way to explain who I am. I also accept the fact I could just be some insane teenager that needs to go to an insane asylum. I have a friend that has two kin types also. grey fox and dragon.

I've got experience with this, and I'm pretty much going to say that if you have that many kin types, then the power of wishful thinking seems like a really good explanation for your types.

Secondly, Insane Asylum? Crazy? Really? People go to Mental Health wards all the time, and they go there because they NEED that extra help. It's about as serious as having heart disease, or Parkinson's. Speaking as somebody who went there herself, it's not what you think. People aren't locked up in padded cells, and they aren't stuck with needles. They're cared for, and go through a lot of therapy exercises.

I fight Mental Health stigma, so, yeah. Things like that, piss me off real fast.

sorry bout that. I'm just sayin that I guess some people might take people as insane like that as therians. Like if people thought I believed I could shift (I don't. that's ridiculous. For me it's a spiritual thing.)

You are exploring aspects of yourself, under these terms, which will probably change in the future. I'm worried about the possibility of you being influenced by others into this and sucked into escapism. For all I know you could be exploring the lower animal self. *tries not to write an epic about magic*

    Triune brain

Only other thought I can come up with is... the pit bull doesn't have a locking jaw, contrary to what my dad told me. Thanks to the internet, I proved him wrong! They're simply really determined to keep hold of stuff.

I didn't really understand any of the brain talk.. It's either because I'm tired or stupid... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: plus I don't know the parts of the brain and what they're for. could you explain a little maybe? Also I'm pretty sure I'm not being influenced. I don't like to follow really.

Reptilian brain or reptilian stem... it sounds more catchy.

Sigmund Freud would probably love it and equate somewhat it to the Id. Lower animal self = sex, food, and violence.

Wolves are simple in comparison to the complexity of the human mind. They also don't have the same rules as humans. When you experience mental shifting, you are trying to think non-human thoughts. I think this is what you might be doing.
