How do you know if other girls are lesbian

You can never really tell unless they tell you or "flag" themselves (wearing rainbow or LGBT jewelry and such.) Even butch women can be straight.

Are you seriously trying to suggest you can identify with COMPLETE ACCURACY ever single lesbian person by SIGHT ALONE?

 

I have never seen someone on EC be so blatantly unhelpful. That wasn't very nice.

No person's sexuality should be assumed just based on blatant stereotyping, male or female. You can't just list off a bunch of traits that all lesbians or bisexual women will portray in public to allow you to identify them because there isn't a list of traits like that.

 

I lack "gaydar" too, but my more perceptive friends tell me it's like detective work and you have to watch for body language and responses rather than stereotypical traits. There are a lot of us who fly under the gaydar, which makes it really difficult. I'm right there with you on this. I can never tell unless someone tells me.

 

I have no way of knowing if a woman's gay, unless she is very clearly gay (either with stereotypes [which are unreliable anyway] or openly gay and it comes up).

Sometimes the question I worry about more is "How will women know that I am gay?" - As in would any lesbian ever look twice at me (let alone make a move) when I probably don't give off any vibes of being gay at all and am not exactly closeted any more but definitely not obviously gay.
