I've decided to make a bucket list and set out achieving the things I've always wanted to do. I was wondering if anyone here has done this before? Or if anyone has any ideas of what they'd put on it.
Yep, I have one, which I keep in my listography account (great website wherein you can make lists). The top things from what I can recall now is to learn many languages, get tattoos and a few piercings, and be happy.
Great idea for a thread! I have made that list and consult it from time to time. It really is a bucket, just throw in anything, just anything, that comes to mind that you want to do in life. It would also be a good idea to categorize them from "big" to "small", in other words (and this metaphor has been used a lot) imagine you have a set of different-sized rocks that represent what you want to do in life, and a jar that represents how much time you have. Put into the jar the big rocks first. If you prioritize the small rocks (almost like sand) you won't have room for the big things (e.g. marriage, kids, career). So: big rocks first, then smaller ones, then sand then water (to fill the spaces in-between). A good representation of a full and rich life. Another way of putting it: most of us think too small. We cut down our dreams too early, thinking that we don't have "enough" (time, money, love, etc.). Well, Einstein had just as much time as us...what did he and other successful people do differently? Big ideas and big dreams first! Achievement means, above all else, focus. Let the small stuff slide, these include insults and frustrations...let these go and focus on what turns you on! Here's a quote on keeping it simple:
I considered it several times but then I would always think I'd probably be dead before I did any of them...might think about it again now!
Might have to check out that website. ---------- Post added 7th May 2014 at 11:43 AM ---------- Do it Holly. ---------- Post added 7th May 2014 at 11:44 AM ---------- Wow! I was thinking start with the immediately achievable stuff and save money etc. for the big stuff.
Yeah it's great for upkeeping lists and updating them, if you like lists or want to save your bucketlist you should check it out
i feel like a loser when ppl talk about bucket lists. Usually most of them are very adventurous, which i am not inclined towards :|
