BLERGH. We all hate them... EXAMS! Sadly, we all have to face them! Anyone got any motivational advice/quotes to share? I'm sure a lot of us could do with some! Here's one I love: "In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can." (Nikos Kazantzakis)
Listen to 8tracks! They always help me!! Just search up motivational study music up on Google and you'll get a ton of 8track hits!! They're awesome!!
I give you a list of things not to do I am about to take my final university exam (and then I will hopefully graduate) and I am literally spending all my time either on here or playing 8 Ball Pool on Miniclip! It's addictive! I usually listen to instrumental music and put the key info on little cards - helps me memorise it
I recommend coffee, music, lots of studying and a little ultimatum! My ultimatum is I promised myself that if I did well on my exams, I could dye my hair!
i bought a pennyboard that i've told myself i can't take out until after exams. i think now i'm just staring at it in longing more than i'm studying. it was supposed to motivate me, not distract me! ergh!
I just find some music or movie i haven't seen in awhile. Anything that makes it suck less but not too distracting
You made it past midterms without having to drop the class so this will be easy - that's what I tell myself
I hate this period of the school year, and the only thing that somehow gets me through the exams without doing anything harmful (to myself mostly), is thinking all the time that it'll be over in not that long. That there's a life after the exams. The thought of a quiet head which I can empty of the several subjecrs I'm finishing this year is pretty relieving. Nothing else helps me.
I love exam period, it's the time of the year when I'm most free, ironically. One motivational statement I saw is "Every accomplishment comes with the decision to try."
Everyone is different, but personally I found a good nights sleep is much more valuable than trying to cram the night before an exam. Good luck, and always remember that in the long run, continuous effort counts more than winning on any given day. Stay focus, stay positive, and stay determined both before and after the exam, and everything will be just fine.
" Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools. " - Napoleon Bonaparte. " Great ambition is the passion of a great character. Those endowed with it may perform very good or very bad acts. All depends on the principles which direct them. " - Napoleon Bonaparte. " Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide. " - Napoleon Bonaparte. I hope those quotes suffice. And I hope that all goes well. Any type of test can be daunting, but I tend to believe passion can triumph over hindrance. If you desire it enough, a path will be paved, and you will obtain it. Best of luck, and fingers crossed.
Ah. Motivation. Oddly enough I feel really motivated recently to learn about stuff and read new books or find new movies to make me think... just none of the stuff I feel motivated to learn about is relevant to my exams :/ . I just keep telling myself it's the final straight and afterwards I can learn and do whatever I want. Tbh it's rather hit-and-miss as a technique, but oh well. "I'm not telling you it's going to be easy. I'm telling you it's going to be worth it." - Art Williams
Exams are only there to help your professor evaluate whether you've learned the material in the class, so they can assign a fair grade. If you're happy with what you've learned and don't care about the grade, then don't stress; you're done. If you do care about the grade, then *that's* your motivation for doing well on the exam, but: If you've learned the material, don't stress; you're done...just go in and demonstrate what you know. If you haven't learned the material, it's probably too late. But in this case you might ask yourself why you took the course...or possibly why you're in school at all. Just some thoughts.
