Does anyone here have an obsession with a certain item, person, subject, etc?

My biggest obsession is art and character/world building.

And it always seems to soothe me when I'm down <3

Yes. I have an obsession with glitter. I LOVE it so much. I actually love to wear glitter and I recently started putting it on my face. I honestly feel more happier wearing glitter and I feel more like myself. I also talk about it almost everyday XD

    Stuffed animals.

I clothe them, wash them, brush them. They have little gatherings with each other and we talk about things. They all have names and vary in size between small ones you could hold in your hand to ones you could stand up and cuddle against your breast.

I have a major obsession with Barbie Dolls from when I was younger. I had this big bag of ethnic barbies that belonged to my sister from the 90s. I looked to do their hair, dress them up. I even made clothes for them. My mother threw out those dolls years ago. But, I received 2 recently. One as a christmas present and one as a birthday present. I still love doing those things with them. I actually hope to start collecting some soon.

I'm also obsessed with hair. I love looking at hair videos and blogs. Practicing doing different hairstyles and what not. It's fun to me.

I'm obsessed with trying to be 100% sure of my sexuality. Luckily that obsession is slowly going away.

I have an obsession with the Titanic disaster. Ever since I was about 8, I've been fascinated by the event and the people on board, as well as the countless films made about the disaster.

Oh, yeah - forgot to list those things, too.

But politics above everything else for me.

Music and coffee being two common ones.

I also have a weird obsession with notebooks. I have a ton of them that barely have anything in them and I'll never really touch them after a few uses.

Space, and traveling in it. I write, draw, and play games about space, and honestly imagine heaven to be the bridge of a sci-fi starship.

I can relate. I enjoy games such as Rise of Nations and Sid Meyer's Civilization. Anything turn-based or real-time strategy. One of my favorite games is a very cheap and simple computer game, but it allows you to totally and absolutely control any nation, in economic, political, and military matters. You can be an economic paradise, a political monopoly, or a military empire, or all three.

For me, they are rather soothing due to the fact you can, though in a virtual medium, bring about change or progress. Something many times we, as people, often feel we do not have, or ever will.

The Titanic is pretty fascinating. It's definitely one of the most famous (or infamous, depending on who you ask) incidents in disaster history. Much like the Hindenburg blimp, it's a captivating glimpse into humanity's desire to survive, to endure, to just make it through.

I'm a connoisseur of history. Many of the particular topics or eras are not the most friendly or warm, but that can be chalked up to atrocities being more fascinating. I've been interested in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Cambodia under Pol Pot, the Armenian Genocide (most people don't know about this one) and the Ottoman Empire, both separate or together. Napoleon Bonaparte, and other remarkable figures in history, also fascinates me, because they usually squander their ability to better or progress the world. No matter how many times I read on Napoleon, I always find myself wondering if, this time, the outcome will be different. Spoiler alert: It never is.

I enjoy political science as well. Sociology too. Anything involving cultural or ideological exchanges and symptoms is interesting. I like to study great figures of history, not just for their personal deeds, but the infrastructure and policy building of their empires, so that I can see any similarities or repeats in today's society. Nazi Germany had many techniques that the post-World War II world adopted, into their societal and political machines. I also find propaganda a fascinating topic, since it really demonstrates the reception of human beings, but also the resourcefulness of humanity.

I'm very fortunate to have stumbled upon such interesting and in-depth people.
