If you had to move to the United States but got to pick which state to live in, which would you choose?

For me, it'd either be California or Nevada. Maybe New Mexico. If I had to stay in the Midwest, I'd choose Minnesota.

Definitely California as my brother lived there for three months when he was on a University exchange programme and, from what he told me, it sounds like one of the more sane places in the US.

As a foreigner who's never been to the US and who loves big cities, New York (City) or California (San Francisco) seem the most appealing.

I wanna have a lake house, but with my career, doesn't look like it'll happen.

Washington (state) because they don't get as much sun as many other parts of North America (I prefer cloudy days) and the state is very left leaning.

Minnesota: Mall of America is amazing. I went to this state to celebrate my sister's wedding, but my siblings and I stopped by MoA for a short visit. I wanted to stay but couldn't because we were busy that day doing other things for the wedding.

California: My mom said the Viet food here is amazing when she lived there many years ago. It probably still is good. And some cities are LGBT friendly.

NYC: Lol back to the place where I was born and raised. You can pretty much visit all 5 boroughs via public transit.

I have lived in California, and there are too many people. I am happy where i am in Wyoming, I would consider Colorado, but not in Denver. I could also live in VT, or MI because I have family there.

Georgia because I was born there and it has a special place in my heart, Florida by the beach, or California. Anywhere to escape the hot mess weather we have in Kentucky.

Southern Nevada, because i really like the desert. Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington would be pretty cool too.

I'd move back up north, near Traverse City, Michigan, if gay marriage become legal there.

I miss all the lakes, the very clean water, swimming, the snow, cross-country skiing, the huge forests. Way, way too hot down here for me, and also, too much traffic.

Same, as a person from extremely small town New Hampshire.

Agreed. It can get really hot at times.
