I'm an introvert- well, definitely was until I came out. As soon as I find a group of people I get along with and I have time to adjust, I can be social and joke around.

 

Kinda like this myself.

Sure there are, and I'm one of them. Usually you only see my serious side until you get to know me. Once I'm familiar with people, that's when my joking, and often childish side comes out.

 

I was very introverted in high school. communication class in college helped me quite a bit. You have to speak up in class. It's part of your grade.

One thing that has, I think, helped me a lot recently has been joining various groups, like a book discussion group at the library, plus a theology discussion group. It has forced me to interact with others, and I think it's been helpful.

Although, of course, in the end I still remain a strong introvert, and will always remain so: it's as much a part of me as being gay is.

 

I think the majority report being so, in previous polls.

There are lots here, myself included. In all the polls on this I've seen I think it was 60-70%+ were introverts here. That being said, if I'm in the right group and the conversation is on the right topic, I can be talkative and social.

I'm a walking definition of an introvert. Just yesterday I was thinking how nice it would be living in a small house in a forest somewhere in solitude and not have to deal with people. I don't always feel that way though.

Yeah. I'll happily stay at home. 'Course. I think part of that is because I'm usually with family members that refer to me as 'she'. Maybe it'll get better when I'm off to college.

Around certain people I never shut up. But most of the time I'm introverted.
