Okay, all politics aside, I absolutely LOVE the olympic games and as sad as it may sound I have been waiting for them to begin for ages!!! I can watch pretty much every event that they show but you have to have a favorite!!!

Mine are the track and field, the hockey and the swimming!!

So who else is going to be following this amazing sporting event and what are your favorite events??
    :eusa_danc:eusa_danc

    Let the games begin! :icon_bigg

The opening ceremonies are awesome beyond words. Actually watching them at the moment. I watch the track events, some of the more exciting field events and the fencing. Mostly because I fence myself, and I like to keep track on how terrible I am compared to some of those maniacs.

I watched the opening ceremony but it was TOO long I fall asleep:icon_redf

I like watching them and I do keep update who won that and who didn't kind of stuff but I don't really love it actually. Perhaps I need to go see the games in real life:slight_smile: That must be great experience:thumbsup:

I loved the opening ceremony - but switched it off when all of the countries were parading in.

I love the gymnastics, diving and synchronised swimming,

Maybe I'll pay attention to the swimming this year. I usually don't pay much attention to the Olympics except for what CNN reports.

I don't usually set time aside to watch it, but I'll often flick it on when I'm not doing anything. I like watching the swimming, track and field, diving and gymnastics.

I've watched most of the televised U.S. Olympic trials, and I, too, have been waiting patiently (not very patiently...) for the games to begin.

My favorite events are: Swimming, Diving, Track and Field, and Gymnastics

I'm a big fan of soccer, softball, and swimming. I'll watch just about anything else (I watched Germany play Ireland in badmiton), but I really like those three.

Well, I've always loved watching the ceremonies more than the actual events :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Did any of you notice how one of the UAE fellows in the parade was on his mobile phone? XD

(and how there were no women in the Saudi Arabia team :frowning2:)

  20. I've always liked to watch the swimming and the diving, for some strange reason that i am yet to fathom out, i find the mens swimming and diving more entertaining than the womens.

But i do watch the womens gymnastics events with a bucket and mop to clean up my drool lol.
