    Title says it all.

I like to skate with my beloved longboard, waveboard and sometimes skateboard but usually I use to crash with the skateboard:grin:

I skated for 8 years. I still have a deck but no longer skate. Arto Saari and PJ Ladd were my favorite skaters.

If it means anything I always wanted to skate growing up but there just wasn't a scene where I'm from (literally nobody skated and I couldn't teach myself). Recently though they've built a massive skatepark (talk about bad timing), I'm so jealous of the young ones! :icon_sad: Skater in spirit but not in practice.

I recently developed an interest in skateboarding, still haven't gotten myself a board but I am planning to and would love to learn how.

I tried inline skating but could never get passed the 'shuffling duckling' phase.

I used to. Still have my deck, somewhere, packed away. I really loved the era when the skate-punk scene was in full swing, that had to be the hottest look for skater boys. Often, they still are very hot, but not as 'alternative' as they used to be...it seems like it's become more mainstream.

But I was pretty clumsy, so skating caused many bruises, and I was pretty bad at it, but tried anyway.

I had this deck in green:

And my bf had this one:

I always found his easier to ride, maybe because it was smaller. Sadly, he lost it at MSU, in the Red Cedar River, where the metal parts are still probably rusting away...

    Formerly, yes.

I used to see PJ around back in the days. It was pretty mindblowing stuff, especially since nobody really knew about him outside of Boston and New York at first.

I really used to love skating when I was younger but since my family and I moved there isn't really a suitable area for me to skate.

I got myself a longboard a few months ago and I love it. Use it for fun, but also as transport. Mostly to get myself to the train station if weather allows it.

I used to skate when I was little, now I can't. :frowning2: And I'm too afraid to learn again. It seems fun, and I like how longboards look.

I used to skate as a kid, we had a lot of space in the yard but with me being so clumsy and accident prone everyday was a disaster waiting to happen

This. It's ~80cm long so technically a cruiser instead of a longboard, but the size makes it very easy to carry it around on trains etc.

Is it easier to skate with a longboard than with a regular skateboard?
