One year ago today, May 19, 2013, I happened to google something about LGBT issues, I don't remember what it was exactly, but one link led me to a site called EmptyClosets.com. I saw that they had a forum, and after reading about two pages, I was hooked. After trying several possible usernames that all exceeded the maximum characters, I settled on my current username: AwesomGaytheist. Now 3,280 posts (and counting), 90 friends, 225 threads, and 5 blog posts later, here we are. I don't know where I'd be or how some of the big life decisions I made in the last year would have turned out if I didn't have the support, advice, and encouragement of a lot of people on EC, both staff and members, and for that, I am eternally grateful. A year later, I'm still facing some major life challenges, but am 100 times stronger, 1,000 times more mature, 1,000,000 times more experienced, and just as witty as I was on this day in 2013. I've had a lot of people thank me for the contributions I've made since I've been here, and now I have to say thank you for all the love, support, encouragement, laughs, and fun. Here's to another year!
Aww, that is so awesome! Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary on this website. I wish you many more great years on being a member on EC and that you get more help and support, but, that you also give some of that support that you once seeked to other people.
