I'm leaving here because I feel like I have nothing in common with people here and that this site just isn't for me. Are there any sites like here I can go to?

Hi. I'm a little confused. You say you are leaving because you have nothing in common with anyone here, and this site isn't for you, and yet you want to find another site just like it. Presumably another site just like it would also be full of people you have nothing in common with and isn't for you, so perhaps if you say more about what you *are* looking for! someone might have some suggestions.

On a related note, are there other sites like this one? I'm just wondering so I can expand my horizons with connecting with other people.

I've done a lot of research and most of the other sights that I found were more social networking like and less forum like which wasn't what I was looking for

I am a bit unclear on how you find that you don't have anything in common with anyone.

Have you tried reaching out to anyone to see if they share your interests?

The first thread I ever read from you was one asking the staff how to delete your account. Did you think to make one called "Who here is into punk rock?" or whatever. Insert actual interest of yours here.

Just because we're all sexually liberated people with less than rigid ideas of gender conformity doesn't mean we're all the same. For example, I'm one of the few people people here who supports gun rights. Others of us are mathematicians. Still others, brilliant poets.

    Why not reach out more?

I refuse to believe there's no-one like you here!
Also, EC is the only site like this I know, so can't really help you there. :/

Without knowing what you are looking for and what aspects of EC do not work for you, it's impossible to advise you.

Looking at your recent posts, you seem to have a lot of issues with your parents, especially your dad. I think that is common with a lot of other members.

Like others mentioned, you should try to explain what's not working for you. Many members only stay here for a short while and then leave without saying a word. I think that you've made this thread because some part of you does want to maintain a connection.

I don't feel like I can level with anyone. I would like a site that does what this site does, but helpos with family too.

    There's a family support section.

There's a place called QueerAttitude, but it's more geared towards teens (although OP is 14, so that might work), and back in the day, a couple of the moderators were jerks. But it may very well have changed, I suppose you could give it a try!

I don't understand why you feel you can't "level with anyone". This site seems to be completely anonymous, so there is no way anything you say about yourself in "real life" can be traced through the site back to you.

If you can't bring yourself to say something about yourself for fear of being criticized, then that is a problem you have (which we can help you work on), not something about the site. This has been one of the least critical-of-people sites I have EVER found anywhere, with virtually no flaming offered or allowed to remain by the moderators. If you can't be open and candid about your problems here, I doubt you will find a better place to do so on the Internet.

Why not just "drop your defenses" and tell us honestly what is wrong, and see who pops up saying "I had that exact same problem myself and here is how I dealt with it". People usually do.

I love this site. Stay a bit longer, you'll find something.

And anyway, this might be my way of dealing with the problem.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's a lot easier to run away from something than to stay with it and work through it.

Since this is an anonymous community, why not try going into a vulnerable place a bit and talking about what's going on for you? You don't have anything to lose because no one knows who you are in the real world, and you might find a lot of openness and understanding for whatever's going on if you're willing to talk about it.

I like this one more than other sites even if I don't share much in common here with most of the people here but I think of them like family that's what makes it special for me here . When I first came I did not feel like I belonged

They're not gay sites, but govteen and virtual teen have a gay section.
