Has anyone ever noticed that their parents seem to cook a specific meal whenever they're angry or upset? My stepmom always seems to make pasta whenever she's like this...maybe it's the Italian in her Anyone else notice this with their parents?
When my mom's upset she locks herself in her and dad's room. When dad's upset he leaves and goes to work. When I'm upset I make chicken and dumplings without the chicken. I guess everyone has a little activity to use to calm down.
Never noticed. Well. Sometimes my mom would take a bag of Lays and shred a mountain of cheddar and just sit there eating it. I always make something with loads of fucking cheese.
My mother, when upset or angry, would always tell us, "You're all on your fucking own for dinner, tonight!" *DOORSLAM!* My stepfather would order a pizza, or prepare the game he'd gone out and hunted for, if my mother didn't cook.
Same. My dad would just put a bunch of microwave food into the oven. When I'm mad, I tend to make overly spicy/overly sweet foods. Like tacos with a TON of taco seasoning or make cake with way more sugar than needed
