When I ask "do you believe in magic?" I mean any type of magic.
I kind of believe in magic.

Have fun. And please don't maim or kill each other; it leaves a mess on the floor.

I mean, ghosts and spirits I can sort of get behind (we know that matter does not just disappear; where does it go?). But the general rule is that the only magic I believe in is Magic: The Gathering.

If, by magic we mean anything that's, to this point, unexplainable, then, yes, I believe in magic.

Though, eventually, "magic" enters the realm of the "known" and ceases to captivate and mystify us the way it did when it was unexplainable and mysterious.

"If you must watch telly, you should watch Scooby Doo.
    That show was so cool
because every time there was a church with a ghoul
Or a ghost in a school
They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The fucking janitor or the dude who ran the water-slide.
    Because throughout history
    Every mystery
EVER solved has turned out to be
    NOT magic." - Tim Minchin

As a very spiritual person, yes, I do. I believe in spirits, ghosts, psychics, and the power and interconnectedness of all things.

Yes. To the extent that I incorporate it so well into my life that people wouldn't recognise most of my rituals or spells. I believe in psychological drama. Since I think everything exists and yet does not at the same time. Sometimes I believe in supernatural things and sometimes I don't. It's hard for people to understand inconsistent beliefs and how I can be peaceful with it. Such is the life of a Chaote. For example; I will believe in Cthulhu, and bet the fate of the universe on a battle of wits with him. After that I don't believe in Cthulhu and the universe is safe. I don't have commitment issues! What is magic!? You could get a different answer from me every week! That's why I tried to explain a core element of my magic; belief.

No. I only believe in real things. There is no evidence for magic and so justifyable reason to believe in it.

    Happy days

For me to believe in magic, I would need to believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful, supernatural being that watches every scenario play out on earth and assigns a certain probability (a.k.a magic) to each situation. As an agnostic I am not ready to believe in said being.

Did I ever mention how much I like to overanalyze simple yes or no questions? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Do I believe in the existence of conjuring and other similar stage tricks? Yep. Do I believe in the existence of a mysterious, marvellous, selectively controlled something which by its own definition doesn't exist? Nope.

But surely those who believe in magic can wave their wands and clean it away.

I've experienced too many weird things to not believe in "magic".
They might not be wand waving, spell casting, witches and wizards, God's hand kind of magic, but I can't think of any other word for them.

    So the answer is Yes.

Well, I believe in a form of subjective reality. If a person believes in magic, then it's completely real, if only to them.

    I never received my Hogwarts letter of acceptance. Ergo, magic can't exist. ;__;
    /butthurt

I don't believe in magic, but there are many things whose modus operandi is unknown to me. Sometimes they just seem magical.
Sometimes I like to look at my smartphone and marvel at its ingenuity. Not just my phone; everything digital just seems to exist in a mysterious universe of their own, which I don't comprehend. Everything is just ones and zeroes, but still, anything is possible.
