I never got the opportunity to study abroad but I did have a travel fellowship the year between my undergraduate and graduate work. I spent it backpacking through India and Nepal. It was a wonderful experience. You should definitely take the chance to study abroad.

My mother has effectively forbidden me from going on exchange anywhere until university, but I would love to study in Lima, Peru.

Not only would it help me use day-to-day Spanish more often, coastal Peruvian accents are so gorgeous that they make me ashamed of my English-tinged Northern Spanish accent. Plus, it's a vibrant city with a strong culture of physical arts, literature, music. I'd not want to change what I study, but a new perspective on history, new material for literature, and a different manner of teaching French and German and maths (which I all take), would be really great.

But that's a dream; I can't do it until university, and I'd rather spend a year in Germany for uni than in Peru.

For language I would like to learn Japanese.

For artistic study I wanted to go one of the comic book schools in USA or in EU.

I also would love to learn sword fighting... to my knowledge there are courses for it in UK and Italy.

Good question :roflmao: My cousin's friend is going there, but I haven't had a chance to ask her what the school is called :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I should probably do that...I just heard that it's supposed to be really good...

Germany! I've been learning German for a year and have been interested in German history and culture since times immemorable, also German men are hot and open-minded :icon_bigg

Japan, I already speak the language relatively well, and I enjoyed a 10 day trip I took there once.

I'd love to study an Art Course Abroad! I've been considering it for quite some time now.
If I can save up enough money for it and find the right course and college, I'd definitely go.
If money wasn't an issue I'd go somewhere like America or Canada, But since it would be so expensive, It'd have to be somewhere in the EU.
Although I do have some fears about it, Like if I get lonely ... Maybe I'll convince a friend to move country with me

I'd love to study abroad in London or Syndey once I'm in college. Maybe Paris if not one of those

South Korea, probably, given that Korean is my last hat in the ring when it comes to learning languages. It'd be nice to immerse myself in a different culture.

Either that or Iceland, just because going there is on my bucket list.

'MURICA! It's my dream to one day move to the US... It always has been. Australia would be cool to study in too, or a Spanish-speaking country (I learn Spanish... It'd be cool to improve that without having to learn a whole new language from scratch). Oooh, or Canada. It's pretty :3

Berlin, cause I love that city. Moving there for a year would help me improve my German, and it would give me a good idea about whether I want to settle there forever or go back to the Netherlands.

Too bad my university days are almost over so there's not much chance of me studying abroad... but the chance that I'm moving to Berlin after graduation is pretty big. I'm done with NL, at least for now.

    Cuba.

Lawyers and doctors tend to go there themselves, for the very same reason I would, because it is cheap and the quality is great (so it is said). Also, it has been on my bucket list to smoke a Cuban cigar. Just to spite the embargo.

Isn't Scandinavia one of the most LGBT friendly areas????

I would say Germany because I am part German, and my personality just goes well with the culture. I did a paper on how they value their own space, and I am the same way. haha.

Australia would be the other because Aussies are cute, but they are also just adventurous people. Seeing kangaroos everywhere would be cool too.

Yes, it definitely is. It's probably the most gay friendly part of the world.

I just said "somewhere really gay" as a joke lol
