So I was hanging out at a friend's place watching movies, come out and the back driver's side window of my car is smashed and the trunk lock is wrecked. Grrr!!!:tantrum::tantrum:

All that was stolen was a toll transponder WITH VELCRO (now deactivated and useless), $5 in change, a free promotional baseball hat, a promotional multitool, and some old sunglasses.

The car is old and an even older car next to mine was also broken into. I don't know what idiot thinks that crappy old cars parked in a crappy neighbourhood have anything worth stealing. The worst of it is the cost of repairing the window and lock will exceed the value of everything stolen. And it's the pain in the ass of fixing it. I already spent a couple hours cleaning out all the glass, and it'll be a good afternoon's work replacing the window and the trunk lock, plus a couple hundred dollars in parts.

I suspect it was either kids or druggies. Seriously, it isn't that hard to get a job and get stuff of your own, you don't have to damage other people's property and take their stuff!:tantrum::tantrum:

And now my friend feels bad because he's had people park there for weeks at a time no problem, and somehow feels partially at fault.

    Argh. That sucks.
    I hate when people steal.

But maybe they needed it worse than you did if they were willing to break into a crappy car.

Not trying to make excuses for thieves, its still wrong. But times are hard... :frowning2:

I hope you can get your car fixed up soon without too much hassle though.

No they didn't need booze / drug money worse than I needed meter money. And they sure as fuck didn't need a toll transponder, hat or sunglasses.

If they wanted it that hard they could:
    Get a job
    Become a beggar
    Go on social assistance
    Become a prostitute.

I have NO TIME for such disrespect of people's property. Plus the police basically don't care at all and don't do anything about such thefts. Especially if they were committed by minors. If minors are caught stealing many cars, the police would only really care if they kill someone.

    Think I'm joking?

    i understand your anger, kenko!

about two weeks ago, someone broke into my mom's car. there was things of very little value in there but still, the thief took some change, the sunglasses, and my mom's driver license which she always keeps in her car. absolutely a waste of their time and ours.

  5. I'm really sorry to hear that =(
I hope you feel better! I would throw the biggest bitch fit ever...and cry too. But then again, I never leave anything of great value inside my car.

Karma will get the thief! Mwuahahaha!

I'm really sorry to hear that happened to you.

Theft is a horrible thing. Why do people need to steal and why can't they get it on their own? It does annoy me.

I hate petty theft. It's just, stupid, if you ask me, but what do I know?

A friend of mine had her locker at school broken into and someone stole all of her gum (she had this big ass box for softball). I know it's not a car, but if someone wanted gum that badly they could've just asked.

    That really sucks....I'm sorry

I think it's just that when someone breaks into your car and doesn't find anything of great value, they feel like they have to take something (as cheap as it is), or what was the point of breaking in? I'm not defending them, but it's what I would think if I were to break into someone's car.

Oh my god i know the way u feel. Last year someone stole my Northface jacket.....and this year my new sean john glasses...it pisses me the f*ck off that people have to steal sh*t from other people who worked hard for it and just keep taking and taking and make it a habit nd don't get caught. Authorities can do nothing because they don;t know who it was....at least the goverment shud replace stolen items or something...URGH! I hope they catch ur guy...or karma gets him...And that everything goes well with you and that through some special way your replacement will be soo cheap and will be a weightlifter...from ur shoulders.

Sorry dude. I've had things stolen too. My Xbox 360 (all my games and controllers), my Playstation 2 (same), Gameboy Advanced (yea.. wtf? I forgot I had it until I looked for it), some of my DVDs and a Kill Jill Porn I got for my 18th B-day. I come home from a 4 day trip to a friend's place and my house is completely torn apart. It sucks.. I just bought Guitar Hero 3 and Call of Duty 4.. I was devestated. I suppose it is a good thing that happened, I haven't really played any video games lately. About $1000 down the drain though.
