Why do you say you're ugly in the first place? Who are you comparing yourself to?

 

I think every individual have their own take of what good looking looks like. There may be some who don't find you attractive but there are other people who would find you quite the looker.

I think what's the most important is how you look at yourself and do not refer to other people on who they find ugly or not.

 

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I for instance like bigger guys and some people don't.
But no I don't think they were agreeing with you, just pointing out the fact. Work on your self esteem . Your worth it.

 

Fishing for compliments? Confirmation of physical qualities?

Yeah pretty likely if they say that you are batshit ugly if I have to be so kind. Joking of course (*hug*)

Only thing matters is that important someone who finds you attractive... unless you are thinking about entering a beauty contest of some kind.:icon_wink

On two separate instances when people are rated on a scale from 1-10, and one or more participants ask if they can use negative scores when your name comes up (personal experience in both high school. And college!)

Sorry to be the one to ruin the party here, but I think that might be what they are aiming at. I am NOT saying it means you are ugly however. Of course it's hard to judge because I wasn't there and I don't know them, but yeah. They could also have said "No, you're beautiful" or "Don't call yourself ugly!", which would be less likely to imply that you are. But even if they do, it's just their opinion. Like others have said, it's a subjective matter.

Maybe work on how you present yourself - I for one am hardly judgmental based on how someone looks, but a little more on how one presents themselves. Clothing, attitude, confidence, etc. It will make you feel better about yourself and you will appear more confident - which is key to attraction. Someone who says they are ugly is, to most people, automatically uglier (or rather: less attractive) than they would be if they were confident. Think about that, instead of how ugly you think you are.

Of course fuckin' not, man. Like others have said, beauty is up to the individual perceiving. But don't worry if somebody doesn't find you attractive, they're just mad you have a sexier soul than they do.

Shake that stuff off. Confidence is the best cosmetic.

 

Hey, I think that if people are saying that, at least they are being nice.

It could mean that, to those people, you're not attractive. There are so many people who I think are gorgeous, and others are like "nooo!"

It just depends on who you are talking to.

Also, I guess I didn't know what I thought about "inner beauty" until I heard about Lizzie Velasquez. She has a disorder so she doesn't store fat (or something like that.) she's physically unattractive, but I saw her talk once and I smiled - she's so happy and so sweet. My point is that you truly can do so much if you value you!

Nah, it doesn't confirm that you're ugly. They could be trying to remind you that you don't need to worry about how you look, pretty or otherwise.

 

Sometimes people just mean exactly what they say. They didn't call you ugly, and you're not ugly.
But remember that what matters most is self-confidence and self-love. If you go around trying to convince people that you actually are unattractive they'll start to believe you, no matter whether or not it's true.
