I'm trying. I've been at least 80% vegan since summer 2012, and I don't buy dairy or eggs. (Just happen to eat them occasionally when we have some at home. Or order pizza when I'm drunk) 80% vegan being my definition of "lacto-ovo-vegetarian who likes to think he's better than he is"
I'm omnivore but I'd like to be a vegetarian. I just eat whatever cause I'm a student and I don't care about my diet.
I did go vegan for a while (and now dairy really messes me up), but I've moved backed down to pescatarian. I just...crab legs...
Being vegan is substantially cheaper as long as you don't buy vegan junk food, which is why I'm determined to commit to a 100% true ultra vegan diet once I begin my student life. I'm okay with eating small-scale, local fish and game, in theory. But I can't in practice, I just can't eat a dead animal. I was in Lisbon with a friend and he had octopus and offered me some. I really wanted to try it out but I almost threw up. I had a piece on my fork and I just couldn't lift it to my mouth.
I'm a vegan, and I have been since last year. It's not difficult (even with my extremely severe other dietary restrictions), and I have felt both healthier and better about myself in conscience since I went vegan. It's far easier than I thought it'd be, even in restaurants without giving prior warning.
Nope, but I've been cutting my dairy and red meat consumption. My mom was a vegatarian for a long time and tried to encourage me to become one too. Then, she found out we both have iron-deficiency anemia, so meat wasn't really optional.
I'm vegetarian since birth, meat and fish made me puke since very little... don't really feel like missing out on anything
I have a pescatarian diet and haven't eaten meat since I left school. I know a vegan girl who says anything like dairy tastes disgusting yet I found out she's only been vegan for just over a year & she's 20!
I'm only a vegetarian, but I buy my eggs from reputable sources. My cousin did a lot of research and figured out which ones are cruelty free. When I get more money, I'll buy my eggs at the farmers market. I've been vegetarian since I was 5, so that's about 13 years now. The only time I ate meat since then was when I took a bite out of the wrong sandwich, it was really gross.
