Can't help but admit I feel of sense of awkwardnes. I've bought but never used yet, just to be on the safe side, but I felt so awkward. I realized i'm not alone though as according to some people here I asked.

Are you embarassed or at least feel a little awkward?

Yes, but it's okay at self-serve checkouts. It's easy to put it in as one of the last products along with other shopping, walk away with the bag and it's not obvious. I would never go to a served checkout.

I'm not out enough yet to have a relationship, so I haven't bought any. Are most behind the counter nowadays? In my time with my friend in my teens, he bought them as the top.

I've never had to buy one but I'm sure I'd feel awkward

I definitely felt like I was getting red while doing so lol. Luckily it was just rung up casually

No, it is just sex. Everyone does it, so nothing to be embarrassed about.

I tried one on when I was younger and couldn't keep it up just because I was nervous. :frowning2: I need to practice if I ever plan to top.

I just get them handed to me on campus from our sexual health center. I haven't needed them, but if I did I would just get them from them. They actually have good condoms too.

I bought some along with a bundle of bananas because I wanted my mom to teach me. And she said if I could buy them, I was ready to now how to use 'em.

It wasn't to bad. The check out lady didn't care.

I get free condoms and lube from my university so no need to buy them. I don't really top, but I always have condoms in my bag, because I can't rely on other people to be 'prepared' (and I'm not going to go bareback for anyone).

I wouldn't say embarrassed....more just an ingrained sense of puritanically-induced shame regarding anything related to the topic of sex.

(Not a Christian, but I was stuck in a town of conservative evangelicals and they definitely left their mark with that topic).

    But anyhow....self-serve lanes

Nope, doesn't bother me at all. My boyfriend on the other hand makes me be the one to go get them when we're together, and usually it just made the shopping list on our weekend shopping trip while we were at college. Now that we're both back home for the summer, we both have to buy our own stash and keep them in our bedrooms. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I would say so. I have never bought them tough...... Hmm, nvm I take that back. When I was really young I bought one at a gas station thinking it was candy in the restroom... Well it wasn't, sure surprised my mother when I asked her what it was.
