    Greetings!

Just had to share this cartoon:

    Translation

First Panel (top left): "I don't like your kind!"

2nd panel (top right): "You know why? Because of this little book: The Bible!"

3rd panel: "You are bad! God hates you! I hate you! You deserve no respect!"

Last panel: (LGBT person) "THAT'S ENOUGH!" (Bible guy) "My God! I am a victim of persecution!"

...it is indeed possible to be a religious bigot in foreign languages...(funny that that "Thunk"/"Ow" sounds English)

Although satire, I can see this is quite often seen.

Many religious people (especially in the west) like to play the persecution card especially as they are seeing their religios privelages and religion itself spiral down the toilet where they belong.

    Happy days

Interesting. My mom is a French teacher and Christian, and I haven't come out to her. This is painfully ironic.

Greatwhale, I am wondering if you would be willing to share the source for this? I'd like to share it with my gay friend who speaks French.

I think you can copy the pic directly, not sure though. The source was from FB, so difficult to replicate here...

It seems many people think "rights" are a one-way street (and, obviously :rolle:, they are on the right side).

I really liked the cartoon! I was even able to understand most of the dialog, which is surprising since it's been years since I studied French. (Yes, there was the English translation. But of course I have to see if I can actually still read the French. :lol:slight_smile:

You could copy the cartoon off EC.

Or you could use Google Images to find other locations, perhaps, if you are lucky, even track it back to whoever created it.

 Nice. (And for the record, didn't have to use the translations- I love my major!)

At first the Christian sounds strong manly and mean, in the last pic I can picture him with a girly voice saying 'mon dieu je suis victime de persécution, aidez- moi ' :'(

This is so funny. I love it when people say that us campaigning to be able to get married is persecuting them. Seriously, what the hell?
