But I think those category names are just weird; Lol. Am I the only one who's thinks that?

As humans, we like to talk about things. We like to talk about stuff we like. And we like to talk about sex. Because of that, we occasionally develop terms or slang expressions, as a sort of verbal shortcut. People get tired of saying "I like men who are hairy, a bit beefy, and have facial hair." So they say "I like bears." It's similar to the way we come up with new terms for music genres - rock 'n' roll, disco, emo. We start seeing patterns, we sort of group the similar things together, and put a name on it. I WAS surprised to see that the term "twink" is actually older than me, though... Chaser - short for "Chubby Chaser", a man who is attracted to larger men. Cub - a younger less experienced bear. Daddy - 1. An older gay man who likes younger guys. 2. A dominant or agressive gay man. Diva - A confident, strong-willed, almost arrogant feminine gay man or drag queen. otter - a skinny or "weak" bear. also called a wolf. Drag King - a woman who impersonates a man through clothing, mannerisms, etc... Drag Queen - a man who impersonates a woman through clothing, mannerisms, etc... Hag - a woman drawn to the company of gay men. Stag - a straight man drawn to the company of gay men. femme - a feminine gay man or woman. butch - a masculine lesbian. sometimes applied to gay men as well. Gift Giver - a HIV+ man who purposely tries to spread the HIV virus by having unprotected or agressive sex. Judy - a gay man's best friend. metrosexual - a straight man with the heterosocial mannerisms of a gay man. opposite of stromo. stromo - a gay man with the heterosocial mannerisms of a straight man. opposite of metrosexual. Queen - 1. a feminine gay man or 2. a drag queen. |
