How old were you when you realized your sexuality?

I think I was 5 or 6 years old, there was an ad promoting skates and I loved the young actor, I used to find him so attractive when I didn't even know what attractive meant. And every time I saw a hot guy in television I used to feel something underneath my pants lol

 

14 when I came out as bi
19 when I came out as gay

 

Well that's a tough question for me due to my hormones being irregular because of my disease for a long time... But I have been questioning since I was maybe 16. I didn't start actually pursuing or trying anything until I was 21, when I met other gay co workers. I realized I had this odd attraction to a couple of them, and I just wanted to hug them or spend time with them.

 

I changed my mind a lot about my orientation until I realized I was gay at 15

 

Thought I was bi when I was 12, discovered I'm gay this year

 

Realized I was bisexual when I was 12.

 

I haven't declared anything because I don't want to shut myself off in case I change my mind (i don't think I will) but I've known since this year.(14)

 

Fourteen years and two months. I can remember the date.

That's when I acknowledged it. As is many people's experience, I always knew I was gay, even if I didn't apply the word to it.

 

In fifth grade, I was sort of infatuated with a (male) classmate. I think I knew I was gay since early on (or, the fact that I liked guys). I didn't have a defining moment where I realized what my sexuality was, but I slowly accepted it. Can't really come up with a specific date.

I always had a feeling I was. Even since kindergarden.

But I'd say I was about 13/14, when I told myself "ok, I'm definitely not straight".

 

It's hard to say. I didn't really think anything of it but I suppose I fully recognized my sexuality as my sexuality when I was 14.

 

I realized when I was 14. But I didn't realize it on my own, it was indirectly revealed to me.

But unlike others in this thread, it wasn't something I knew all my life but just didn't label until then. The thought of being with a man instead of a woman never even crossed my mind. Looking back, there were definitely instances where I became interested in certain guys, but I guess the idea that I was going to develop an interest with women or end up with a woman was drilled so deep into my head that I kinda just disregarded those incidents...

 

I realized I liked guys at 12 going on 13.I realized at aroun 14 that I didn't like girls.

 

21 I realized I'm into guys.

 

I wish I knew. I met my future husband at 19, we've been together 16 years, married 3 and I still feel I dont know who I am. Perhaps that explains why I am up at 5am and should probably be sleeping before work.......at least I know I'm gay. I also know I'm Irish and have plenty/too much Irish Catholic guilt

 

I had strong homosexual feelings as a young girl and began to understand them at about age twelve.

 

I knew I wasn't straight at 15...
Didn't really accept it until this year (19)
