One year ago today I turned 26, lonely, deeply closeted, fearful of the reactions I'd get if I came out, and fighting harder and harder to suppress my attraction to guys. Today I turn 27 as a proud gay man, out to all but a few of the important people in my life, having received nothing but positive reactions, and having just begun a wonderful and exciting new relationship. I'm so amazingly lucky and happy, and in awe of all the things that have happened this year. What a difference a year makes, and thank you to all of you on EC who have been there for me on this journey. (&&&)
