When do you feel like a boss ?

When I make myself up (nice clothes, make up, ect) and when my achne doesn't suck. And same about the haircut thing too.

 

After a haircut is a definite boss moment, as well as, when I get dressed up past business casual and am looking exceptionally sharp.

I also never thought I'd be much of a "people manager," but I have just recently took on a few projects at work as project lead, and I have to admit, that has me feeling boss on a few more days than it hasn't.

 

When I get to hang out with friends as me.

When students give each other high fives from learning in my classroom.

When I dust someone off the line at a stop light when they think their rusted out 95 civic is straight out of fast and the furious.

 

When I do super quick parallel parking

 

When I'm drunk lol

Or after a good work out!

 

When I buy new clothes.

 

When I hire people for the job, and handing pay checks, filling out paperwork, you know boss stuff.

But really when I can be myself around the fiancée

 

When I get a very good grade or beat my friend's asses in my video games.

 

I always feel like "what the fuck have I just done?!" after a haircut, but end up loving it after a few days. I imagine I'll feel the same if I ever get a tattoo.

Oh yes definitely.

Also (this might sound weird) when I pay for my groceries and it ends up way cheaper than I expected.

 

...when I chew out overpriced consultants?

 

I feel like a boss when I am home alone, my dogs are the only ones in the house, so I can bark out orders and they will listen. AND! best of all, I don't have to wear any sort of clothing if I so wish

 

When I'm managing people at work...?

When I'm teaching martial arts. However even in the position of authority, I always give my students the respect they deserve.

When one of the players on the youth team I coach comes off the field after they scored a goal and they give me a giant hug.

or

When the robot I built has an awesome match and I get to go walk onto the field afterwards and get it so everyone knows that I'm the team captain.

 

When I wear my trench coat. Weird, I know. Possobly because it's a mens coat and I like drag.

 

• When I wear a suit, or my keffiyeh with my trenchcoat.
  
  
• When I make somebody's day, in a cool way. For example, someone drops a book or their wallet, and I can effortlessly catch it. A smile in response from them counts as well, because how doesn't someone smiling, because of you, not make one feel 'like a boss'?
  
  
• The few times it does happen, leaving a store, or other facility, while someone else is looking for a closer parking spot, and they notice my leaving and thank me. I feel like a guardian angel, LOL.
  
  
• Going to sleep with less than a nap's worth of time before needing to get up... then waking up half a hour before I need to, allowing me time to comfortably shower and clean up, and going to my destination -- full of energy anyway.
  
  
• Being behind someone in a line, and they come up a a dollar short. I get to whip out my 2-dollar bill to cover the difference, and get a conversation about it, because a lot of people forget that the 'Jefferson dollar' exists.
  
  
• In one skim, finding the book I need at my library job, despite the kids shuffling them all throughout the week.
  
  
• Helping somebody find a library book, without having to go to the online card catalog.
  
  
• During the library's summer reading program, on the one day I work; puppet shows, just getting to help the puppeteers put them on, and knowing I've made somebody laugh.
  
  
• Catching the microwave, just as it goes to zero, stopping the annoying beep-beep-beep sound it makes when done.
  
  
• Thinking you only have this much, but upon double checking, you have much more. To celebrate, you buy yourself a bag of Starburst.
  
  
• Waking up with only 10 minutes to get ready -- getting ready in 6, and having time to microwave some breakfast.
  
  
• Getting on public transportation, seeing all the seats are packed, but suddenly a plethora of people get off, and you get the seat in the back all to yourself.
  
  
• Getting the mail, expecting 'just bills, junk, and other nonsense', but getting a late-as-hell check from the courthouse for jury duty. Free money that you forgot about.
  
  
• Finding a Shiny Poke'mon in any Poke'mon video game. Only fellow Poke'Nerds will be able to appreciate this.
  
  
• Catching a Legendary Poke'mon -- without the Master Ball. Again, shout out to the Poke'Nerds here.
  
  
• Seeing a red light coming up, but it quickly turns green, so you don't have to slow down. That stop light knows what's up, lol.
  
  
• McDonald's gives you two extra fries, because they made too many. I've had this happen to me three times. All three times, I felt divinely boss.
  
  
• Someone you think is very cool/attractive/important noticing you, and for something you just so happen to be into or talented with. An example, being asked to help someone with a report on Soviet battle tactics. Bonus points when they hold you in a higher regard afterwards, and even become a campus friend.
  
  
  I could go on and on, but I'll just conclude with the most important:
  
  
  
• Just making somebody feel appreciated. If I can do this, then I get the ultimate boss-feeling experience.

 

Telling someone something I thought was true then finding out that I was right!(!)
