I know that is the wrong spelling, but that's how I would spell it without looking it up everytime... :icon_redf

I always thought it was hard because English is not my main language, but it seems like that's not true.
Don't worry, many people struggle when they spell some difficult words for them.

    English is so frickin' frustrating.

    Colonel.
    Epitome.
    Wednesday.
    February.
    Island.
    Zucchini.

And don't get me started on definitely.

Awkward is one of those words, with which I have woes
Its is one of the words, of which are my foes
Along with the words of know, knot and gnome
These are the words which are banned from my home
There are some words, of which I do hate
Cynical and whimsical are not my mate
Hose, dose and lose will always make me cry
While words such as fiery just make me question why
When it comes to spelling I am always self conscious
Sometimes I hate the English language if I'm honest

    That's the best poem ever.

Wait, poem is another weirdly spelled word. Ugh.

    And "weird".

    And... and... and ugh.

Anyway, I'd love (weird) to give you a thumbs (thumb is another weird one) up if I could (another one).

    To acciocarrie:

I never really had trouble with necessary, but I have so many problems with "committed" - I have no idea why. Maybe that's life telling me to stay away from relationships.

psychology... the bane of my existence.
I was stuck in a class for over a year
All was good, all was well,
But even so I had one fear,
It was not of danger nor of threat
It was of the word, for which I regret
Was it syh or ych all I knew was there was an h
it could be here, it could be there
But where it went I didn't care
Until one day I learned with glee
    How to spell psychology

Ok... not as good as the awkward one...
I am learning how to make poems up on the spot, give me time, I will get there

It's a nearly phonetic word which I've never had a problem spelling.

One thing in English which is handy but makes no sense is the pronunciation of words ending in "ate." Verbs like "masturbate," "regurgitate," "delegate," end with "ayt" as the sound. Nouns and adjectives like "delegate," "legitimate," "delicate," end with "at/ut/et" as the sound. I don't think it's a set rule, but it definitely tends to be that way and I don't know why. There should be a spelling difference, but there isn't.

Don't feel bad, I always spell the word "restaurant"(usually type restaraunt) incorrectly. Of course, when I am aware of it, I spell it properly. My dad mispronounces the word "restaurant" too; it sounds closer to "restraint" without the i sound. Must be a genetic thing. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: My dad also pronounces syrup without the "u", so it sounds like "surp".

I also spell Caribbean wrong usually.
