I feel that it's harder for gay people to find a boyfriend/girlfriend. You never really know if someone is gay no matter how they act or look.

It's easier for straight folk because you just look around for 5 mins and there are tons of the opposite sex.

But for gay people you never can tell of any of them are gay.

Finding a same-sex attracted partner at your age is always going to be more difficult, simply due to the fact that many people arent comfortable with their sexuality yet. If you're in the closet as well, it's even harder!

You'll find as you get older, you'll meet more and more gay people (and people you know will turn out to be gay ).

Hi and welcome to EC! First off, you are not ugly. No one is. Sometimes it can take a while until we find the right person. You are only 16. As Micah indicated, as you get older you will meet more gay people, and you will find someone.

If you feel lonely, try to make some new friends, join a club or a GLBT youth group. Getting to know new people, might help you to feel less lonely and who knows you might find a boyfriend somewhere down the road.
