What would you have to be given in exchange for six years of horrible agony?

Let's say we live in the kind of world where you could really make this kind of a deal. You will be granted one wish, but in exchange you will be put through terrible agony for 6 years, the kind of suffering most people never have to go through. What would it take for you to accept? Personally I would only do it for either a selfless cause like ending discrimination on earth, or for an exchange that my life would be lengthened by atleast 6 years, and I would always be happy and safe for the rest of my life.

 

For my dog to live as long as me. Or even twice as long a she naturally would. Maybe even for just another day with her.
I can't explain how much she's changed my life.

 

Either unite the world or stahp and reverse global warming.

Well, for one those 6 years better be on paid leave. Now that I work inventory, 6 years of agony is a Kmart on holiday season.

Anyway... Hm. Lot of things worth it. Klondike bars, sex, a penis, the cure to cancer, eradication of poverty, Tarja joining Nightwish again...

I can do an extra 18 years of Kmart inventory if I get all the above.

 

Nothing. I spent two years in constant agony after a bioched operation when I was 18. During that time, I had yo take pain killers 8 times a day just to keep the pain to a minimum.

I would rather die, before going through anything close to that again.

You know, I live with severe chronic pain every day. A little more would be nothing. I might even take up golfing.

I wouldn't do it. Mainly because I'd be afraid that the six years of terrible agony would leave me so scarred that I'd be unable to really enjoy that which I had waiting for me at the end.

Nothing. Been through a year of hell with my health symptoms rendering it nearly impossible to work. I've had palpitations and high blood pressure for 3 years almost. I've dealt with an abusive father during my life and been in the closet for 12 years. Was picked on from 7th-12th grade with no friends at my school. I've had enough torture. My cousin always tells me, "You've already died 100 deaths."

 

I really really hope so. I know that i look quite feminine and actually look androgynous with my hair straightened and a little bit of makeup but i want to complete that final step of passing as a girl. I just need to come out to mummy first >.<

 

At first look on this thread I was like "You people are nuts! I wouldn't go through six years of agony for anything!" But I didn't even think of this. I would give almost anything to have my dog live as long as I do. He's the only bit of sanity I have left. I can't even bear the thought of losing my baby boy...

 

It would have to be something sensational, like, world peace. Or if I could use magic (If I can make a deal like this, surely I can has magic)
