I'm going to pride for the first time this weekend. What should I expect? What was your first pride experience like?
Other than what Hex said, there will be a lot of things for you to do. I was hoping my parents could take me to STL Pride, but maybe next year :<
Hahaha, these replies are making me smile. Never personally been to a pride before, but I want to. Have fun!
I've never been to a pride, either. But my cousins' have and they say, and I quote, "That was FAG-tabulous!" I lol'd and made a joke about the british term for cigarettes.
Wait, holy fuck! I'm going to St. Louis this weekend! WITH A REALLY RELIGIOUS, ANTI-LGBT PERSON It will be LITERALLY right across the street and :tears: Just had to express my disappointment. Lol. And, in addition to having fun, stay safe!
I'm underage, haha. It will look strange for me to be walking around all alone, and even with my sisters (who aren't anti-LGBT) the adults will probably still question where we're going. There's plenty of time for pride parades later in life, though. Maybe I can catch a peek instead of attending, haha.
I first went to pride when I was 14. My dad was with me at the time, and I wasn't out. It didn't seem particularly weird to go off on my own. You aren't obliged to be interested in everything the rest of your group is.
That much is true, but some people just don't relent, no matter what you do. I'll probably be stuck with my group, whether I like it or not. Heheh. Thanks for telling me, though.
