    Hey,

I'm looking at learning a language (well, relearning the case of Spanish (I really need a hobby!)) and I was wondering if anyone on here has used Rosetta Stone and got any opinions on it, as it was what I was thinking I'd use.

    Cheers!

It's total junk, especially the Spanish.

Repetitive nonsense, you won't learn, you'll just get frustrated.

It was my "Spanish class" in 9th grade. I didn't even do it after the second week.

I tried the Spanish one a few years ago. Complete crap! You are better off taking an actual course.

I've used it to review Japanese I had forgot when I was in my early 20's it's great for review but it won't make you fluent in any language that I know for sure
My cousin has used it for Spanish and it was great in helping him but don't expect to become fluent their liars saying it will make you fluent , Your better of going the school and it also helps if you know the language before hand go to school don't waste your money .

^ All very interesting points, thank you. I guess I'll reconsider.

As far as language schools go, those aren't really a priority over here as far as Spanish is concerned haha

Always take a real, in-person class. Sometimes the old fashioned way is the only good way. You can't learn a language without thorough lessons with contact with other students and a professional teacher.

I can help you practice. I speak English, Spanish and German.

We can converse in Spanish together over the phone or by chat. Anything most convenient to both of us.

Just PM me if you're interested.
