Hi so I was wondering would you rather get cremated or buried when you die? Me myself I would just wanna get buried because I don't think I could rest in peace by getting cremated knowing I was burned to ashes...so I was just wondering what do you wanna do for when you die?

Honestly, I haven't thought too much about this yet. To me a body is a a body.. nothing more. When I die my soul/being will no longer be there. I know I will donate organs, but I don't know if I should donate my whole body to science or be cremated/buried.

I just can't stand the thought of my body being incinerated. Just put me in a casket and bury me in the cemetery in my hometown. It overlooks a lake and is so pretty in the fall with all the leaves and the colors.

I'd quite like to be tree food, really. But I wouldn't mind being burned. I'm aware of space constraints, and quite frankly, I won't need the damn thing afterwards. It can go where it's most needed.

Obviously, I'll donate any organs that are in fit condition.

I'd rather be converted into a tree after I die.

I know it won't matter because I'll be dead, but the thought of being buried creeps me out. I also consider it to be a highly irresponsible waste of land and resources, and those chemicals they use for embalming pollute the ground terribly. After any usable organs gave been harvested what's left of my corpse can be donated to an animal sanctuary ....a think being turned into part of a tiger or a great white shark would be the ultimate in recycling.

These are some good ways to do it:

    -Fired into the sun
    -Fired into a black hole
    -Ashes scattered in space

I'd like to be tree food. I want what's left of me to be used instead of simply discarded. I'm an organ donor and am considering donating my brain to science. I don't want to just rot in the ground. I want to rot in the ground to return to the earth.

Donate my organs at the very least, mourn and do with me what you may. I'm not gonna be there to care about what happens. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I do like the idea of mixing my ashes with instant oatmeal and getting the last laugh.

No. I change my mind. I want a Viking funeral. And THEN. Mix my Viking awesomeness with instant oatmeal. "So where are we keeping great uncle Byron's ashes?" "Well...um. We're working on that. Maple or cinnamon?"

I guess you could have everything. Viking funeral, then mix the ashes with oatmeal, then bury the shit underneath a tree, and you'd still be plant food.

I really don't care, I'm not gonna be around to see it so I guess it's just the preference of my loved ones

On second thoughts I kinda like the idea of being buried next to my loved ones somewhere that I love... so -1 from 'I don't know' and +1 to buried

Actually, cremate me and put a portion of my ashes into a pepper shaker at a restaurant.

once im finished with this body, i don't think i'll be needing it. cremation is fine by me, no need to burden my kid with all of the expense and stress of getting me into the ground.

Once I die, and all thought, feeling and experience cease to exist, I would not care or even be capable of caring what happened to my body.

However, whilst I am alive now, I care about the world I leave behind for my children and I think it's a waste of space, time and resources burying dead bodies. Cremation is the most efficient way to dispose of a body, and rather than filling the world with pointless graveyards, I'd rather the space be used for something useful.

To be honest, wanting to be buried and thus taking up space better used for the living, seems a little selfish to me. No offence intended to those who have said they wanted to be buried though....

    Happy days

"Hi folks. How's your meal coming?"

"Fine but- why does the pepper taste like ash?"

"Like ash? Huh. No idea. Well, enjoy. As you know, this Denny's is dedicated to the memory of a certain Dr. Shane...."
