I like it rare to medium-rare. My mom hates the sight of a red steak so her's is always well done. Personally, I think most anything above medium-rare is a waste of a good steak.

Mid-rare or less. Otherwise it's leather. The people who like it more well done than that, I'll never understand you. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Never eat steak. At least it's been a long time. Most of the steaks I've had were cooked however the person cooking them felt like cooking them.

Still bleeding. Well ok, not raw - but definitely a very slight rare.

I fully agree, by brother is the same way as your Mom. I normally order rare to medium-rare, it depends on the place how I order.

I've heard stories about people who like steak so rare they order it "still mooing."

I don't eat meat, it's been so long I don't even really remember what it tastes like. I would probably want it to be well done, otherwise I'd run a risk of getting food poisoning.

I rarely eat steak anymore. Just lost the taste for it, what can I say... When I do, it is medium.

The first time I was asked this at a restaurant, I was like 10 or 11. I looked at the waitress with a confused look and said "um...all the way..."

I'm in the mood for a medium rare filet mignon now.

Medium rare. I think it just tastes better, and at a lot of the times I've gotten well done steak, it's been too dry for my liking.

    Definitely medium rare.

IMO, if you want well done, then you might as well make burgers instead...

    :icon_redf Oh my!

I like rare/med rare. I don't want it cold. You can add mushrooms, onions, bleu cheese or whatever if its not that high quality of a cut.
