Just list how your day was and anything important/interesting that you'd like to share

It was okay, but could have been better.

I had lunch with my dad at a place called "Cracker Barrel", a chain restaurant that serves Southern cuisine. I found out that my laptop died and I need to get a new one soon, so I'm using a desktop at the moment. How about you?

We ate at Cracker Barrel a few days ago. It was OK.

I wasted half my day sleeping, but otherwise, fine.

I'm going to go eat something now.

This is a pretty nice idea for a conversational thread. I worked, and then took a long walk.

Pretty good. ^.^ My little sister made me a rainbow bracelet, I went to a parade and got a bunch of candy, and my mom is making jello.

I have a terrible headache right now though. >.<

Thank you! I really appreciate your input . And you can come back tomorrow and tell me again how your day was...that's the point of it. It's not "leave your input once", it's infinite

I slept in, ate a late breakfast, took a walk, saw my dad for the first time in a few months, thought about coming out to him, and took a nap. It's a decent day. It's raining outside.

It's been forever since I've been to a Cracker Barrel, and I've been craving their chicken and dumplings for more than a year. (Sounds so good right now).

Unfortunately the nearest one is a two hour's drive east, and I almost never go east anymore (well, exception being after having driven west :lol:slight_smile:.

As for today, just lazed around watching soccer/football. The second one, Netherlands-Costa Rica, was a particularly good game. Got some reading and homework in while I was doing it, but it was mostly a wasted day. But hey, World Cup's only once every four years. May as well watch.

heh... slept half of it, read some stuff on cracked, and listened to a couple albums I hadn't heard before. Then stayed up until 3.20 (now) to compensate for the aforementioned sleeping.

    Pretty decent for me.

It's so weird how things change--by which I mean it's odd for me to be in a thread on a gay friendly website where everyone is talking about going to Cracker Barrel. Back in the day Cracker Barrel actually had an official stated policy of firing people for being gay. I remember once some 18 years ago having to explain to my Mother in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel why I would not eat there--once she understood what was going on she agreed and we went somewhere else. They have since withdrawn the memo and denied it as an official policy after shareholders revolted. Still it is still jarring for me to see the company mentioned several times in this context. I guess I'm just old and cranky.

As to the actual thread topic--it was a pretty uneventful day. I worked, ran some errands, made dinner. Nothing special.

Pretty good. Went to the beach, then stopped to pick up some mail from my ex at her work. Ended up chatting for 3 hours, and she helped me figure out how to get unstuck with the novel I'm writing

I like Cracker Barrel especially the little gift shop they have.

Mine was pretty good. I went to my friends house and got to see her new kitten, then I had dinner with her family.

'Twas swell, thanks. I went to the Robert Frost Farm, and took in a tour. It's an interesting little place, I especially enjoyed looking at the family's book collection, it was nice to see early leather bound editions of Emerson's works, among others.
Then tonight, I went to a lake to watch some fireworks. They were unexpectedly canceled, but since the lake is medium-sized, and wide open, I could see some fireworks from other towns in the distance, so it was alright.

My kids are being driven to visit their grandparents (on their mother's side) by my ex, and it's Sunday here, the middle of Winter, and raining outside as well, so I must confess I have been online pretty much all day...and mostly here on ec as well. I managed to help someone here, and this really lifted my spirits, it feels good to be useful, to be able to do something for a fellow human being. I'm about to go and feed my animals, and I hope I can also muster up the self-discipline to clean up this place a bit, it's a bit of a mess around me at the moment...my living room looks as though a bomb has landed in it.

Pretty nice. I had music practice, then I went to walk my dogs in a forest just outside of the city.
