OK, and odd question! I saw a poll about milk, and I was wondering how many people have actually milked a cow. I tried a few times growing up, because our neighbors had cows, and I found it really hard, just using your hands. But it did form an odd connection to where milk actually comes from, and having fresh milk is amazing...so much sweeter.

No, but I do want to, as strange as that sounds.

However, I know what you mean about having an odd connection. It's the very same with my chickens.

Nope, but I'd love to see the process though!

There is something to seeing where your food comes from, firsthand. It's hard to explain, but something that I've always valued.

Odd: I grew up in the relative wilderness, live in the city now, but me and my partner would love to move back to a very remote area, the only problem being jobs.

I ticked yes, often, as I was breastfed as an infant

The only time I milked a cow was many years ago during a class field trip.

Yup, once. It was with the mechanical thingy though, not by hand.

Nope. 100% city-slicker here. And while some aspects of the outdoors are cool, farm life is entirely out of my domain.

I was probably 6 and at my grandparents farm. I think I milked both a cow and a goat.

    gross. :3

Anyway I have not milked a cow. Very much a city girl even though I live in a semi-rural area.
