I have nothing to do for a while so im writing a story and then maybe post it here, does anyone have ideas of what i could put in it? ^.^
I was kind of thinking a person struggling with LGBT issues and it will have a romance in it too, maybe it will have a message to the story too.
Okay What is your character's sexuality and gender? How significant will the romance be, and will it end well? What kind of struggles will the character endure? Are they just coming out? Are they already out, but suffering discrimination etc. Also, is this a short story or a novel?
Im going to have them as genderqueer because i beloeve they get quite a lot of discrimination because people say they dont exist etc and they will be pansexual and the romance will be with a boy but it wont end well at all, the stuggles will be coming out, people abusing them, and i have decided its going to have a really sad and twisted end. It will only be shortish unless i get carried away lol. ---------- Post added 14th Jul 2014 at 05:30 PM ---------- Sure!! XD
Usually when someone decides to write a story, they write a story that they have come up with. It's sort of counterproductive to decide to write a book without having an actual story to write, and I'm sure there aren't many books out there that started with the author saying, "Hmm, I think I want to write a story... Someone tell my what I should write about!" At least in my experience, the desire to write has a very close relationship with inspiration, which is frequently the driving motivation. At least for me. Unless you just want to write something to kill some time. If that's the case, a popular exercise for budding fiction writers is to put some kind of new or unusual twist on a common trope or fairy tale of something. An example could be a contemporary retelling of little red riding hood that takes place in the Bronx or something. Just my two cents, from one writer to another. Good luck.
If the character is genderqueer, maybe have them express themselves as feminine most of the time and then have people throw insults for "doing it for attention" or "you're not really LGBT" that sort of thing. And then the bf has to deal with that as well.
I have several story ideas for books. but i believe they are so original i do not share them with anyone
Lol now I can imagine an Eragon-like dragon which is intelligent and telepathic, and explaining to its rider/human companion the exquisite beauty of its own sex XD. And it would not be complete until a joke is made on "flaming".
I say dive in, and go for it...the only way to learn to write, is by writing. You can always go back and revise and add and subtract things...in fact, this is a lot of what many (most) writers do. Have fun with it, and see where it takes you.
