    What's the farthest away you've been in all directions? North/South/East/West


    North: Arctic Circle at Dalton Highway, about 180 km north of Fairbanks, Alaska, July 2002.
    South: southern tip of the Big Island, Hawaii, February 2006
    East: Vienna, Austria, May 2011
    West: Haleiwa, Hawaii, February 2006

    North - Somewhere in Lapland a while North of Rovaniemi. It was quite a way past the edge of the Arctic Circle, but it was south of the Norwegian border. I'm not even sure if the specific area had a name. It was basically just dead nothingness, cold even in the summer.
    East - Only swimming in the Pacific - I haven't been to the Americas.
    South - South East Cape in Tasmania (the imaginatively named cape which is the furthest south east in Tasmania)
    West - A while outside of Stockholm, inland.

    I highly recommend it. I spent about 3 weeks in Poland. It has been, to this day one of the favorite places I have been. The people were super friendly, the food was good. Lots of awesome culture and historical places to visit. I would love to go back!

    North - Chicago, IL, USA - 2003 or 2004, I don't remember

    South - Panama City, Panama - a number of times over the years, most recently last August

    East - Washington, DC, USA - I was born near there so I've been there a number of times, though the last time was when I was in the early 2000s

    West - Dallas/Fort Worth Airport in Texas - on the itinerary of our flight to and return from Panama, so last August.

    I have family there. My mom was born and raised in Panama. Most recently we visited amid concerns about my grandmother's health, but thankfully she seems to be doing okay.

    Part of my cultural background. I used to live in Europe and once a year or so, I would travel with my family to Serbia, to visit my grandmother and great grand parents. :slight_smile:
