So, yesterday I was taking a walk and this guy bumps into me and knocks me down. I was feeling kind of pissy so I shout "Watch where you're walking retard!" As the guy helps me up I notice all his friends look shocked, before I could ask what they were looking at, I got a good look at the guy I had just yelled at. His face looked a little odd, and I came upon the realisation that he was mentally handicapped. I was in shock, I couldn't believe myself. But wait! It gets even better! I say "Oh my God, I am so sorry, I didn't realise he was mentally handicapped!" The guy just looks at me weird and says "Um... I'm not." At this point I felt even worse, he looked so pissed off and I couldn't think of anything to say. I just walked away and prayed that I'd never run into him again.

You obviously reacted badly in a situation that was an accident. He should of asked you if you were okay and apoligized. You should not have yelled and used the word "retard". Maybe you both could have reacted better in this situation.
