What do you do when you're sad?

    I take a wank.
    Yes, really. Those hormones almost always help me cheer up a little.

    If it's more serious, I either sleep, work out, take a walk...
    If it's extremely serious, I either simply cry or go out into the streets at night and look for someone's jaw to break. Yes, I know, the latter is neither nice nor helping, but most people just avoid you when they sense that you're ready to draw blood anyway.

    I also like to play violent video games to cheer me up.

    I eat. I eat what's there in the fridge AND in the pantry. I also take shower where I just let the water flow from my head to feet, it helps me relax.

    Music or food. A bit of chocolate or coffee ice cream is nice.

    I can try to distract myself with a movie, games, or the like, but if it is more depression-like, then it doesn't help. I have taken a very long drive a couple times, with no real destination. Just picked a direction on a highway and went for a couple hours. Wound up finding a nice pancake house doing that.

    Drink and listen to depressing music, and when I'm pissed watch some porn..


    After porn take a nice hot bubble bath with candles.. after that eat.. after that go to sleep.

    I like talking long walks in solitude, preferably at night. They tend to lead me into a kind of surreal state of perception, and it gives me time to think and reflect on things.

    Listening to one of my favourite records helps too, or going to sleep to escape it all, especially in terms of depression.

    I watch something funny, like a chat show, or a program that I know will cheer me up, like Phineas and Ferb or the Simpsons.

    I try to distract myself with a movie or book; I'm not gonna lie, porn is the best distracting agent. If all else fails and I'm too upset to be distracted I just try to wind down and relax.

    Hang with my cats, drink warm drinks in a cold bath or eat ice cream in a warm bath (I'm weird I know, but temperature change has always comforted me), watch supernatural, text a friend, and if all else fails read poems by Iain S. Thomas.
