    I've been heavily involved in the Church of England my whole life, and it's only in the last few years that I've begun to understand the extent of the damage that it's caused me. I'm only just now going through the process of breaking away from the Church - it's a sign of how much fear the institution of religion can instil in you that it's taken me so long to reach a point where I refuse to let it harm my well-being any longer.

    Great article, thanks for sharing.

    It's sad that some strains of Christianity remain so homophobic to their core, but it's encouraging that they are not all like that.

    Slowly but gradually, religion is losing more of it's tyrannic grip on humanity, and soon there hopefully will be no more religion.
