what a waste of two lives. i didn't read the whole thing, it was mostly a lot of fluff and wandering towards the end, but i got a pretty good idea they were both unhappy. imo a female has to be foolish to continue wanting to live that way and waste her life knowing that he wasn't attractive to her, nor probably loved her in a romantic way. she kept mentioning how much he love her, looks like saying that was enough for her to stay with him and live in torture for practically her entire life.
He kept it hidden for 40 years? And you mean to tell me that she had no idea??! I think they should cut their losses ages ago and just had gone their separate ways. It's a shame to see such a waste like this :/.
