What are some noises that just totally set you off? And nails on chalkboard is off limits!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who despises the sound of hair-blowers.

    Hehe... Sorry!

The sounds of children. All sounds of children. Talking. Laughing. Crying. I do not like the voices of small children. At all.

People singing out of tune, regardless of whether or not it's on purpose.

Professional violinists/violists/cellists/bassists/gambists playing live or on a recording with their strings out of tune. I hate when I buy a recording of classical music and can identify that a few players in the violin section don't have their strings tuned to everyone else's. I hate it.

    My youngest sister's screechy voice.

The scratchy sound my car makes when the bottom scratches against a speed bump that's too high.

    Car horns.

    Over-the-top, high-pitched moaning in porn.

People chewing with their mouths open and smacking their lips. My flatmate does it and it's ridiculous.

When my mom calls my name -.-. It's a like a high pitched shrill.

People chewing with their mouths open as if they're cattle grazing on hay, fingers on a chalkboard, and screaming.children. My god D:

Autotune being used solely as a crutch for people when they're singing, especially when they can already sing damn well without the autotune.

That horrible sound when people rub balloons. I've got a random and utterly pointless phobia of balloons that really gets set off by the sound of rubber being touched. >.<

    Clanking of dishes.

    Crying babies.

    Vacuums.

Smacking lips when people chew with their mouths open.

Deep bass from a room adjacent to yours.

And the cacophony of voices that arises from multiple conversations occurring within earshot of each other. (Ugh...)

  15. When people gag. I know, I'll probably hear that when I'm in a relationship, but I'm talking about gagging like if you're dying.

Snoring is like the sound of my nightmares. My dad snores a lot and it drives the entire household crazy. It's to the point where my mom is sleeping separately from my dad until he finds a solution.

TV as background noise. I don't know why it annoys me so much.

cutlery against each other makes me cringe, or against a plate...or teeth. uugghhhh *shudders* and wet chomping sounds - my sister does this, and scrapes her teeth against forks. It's like she can't close her lips of something, drives me insane, I can't eat around her.
