Default A terrible website or a good laugh? both actually.

I was on google a few minutes ago and did a search for "gay" and a website in the results seemed really really interesting to me because it seemed so mean. So, naturally, I went to it. I thought I was going to be offended(and I was) but when the page came up I pretty much instantly started laughing... which sent a very large amount of air through my crazy straw and into the green tea I'm drinking thoroughly soaking my desk and self, but i digress, so moving on...

This is what it said:

One of the most dangerous ways Homosexuality invades family life is through popular music. Parents, please keep careful watch over your children’s listening habits. Especially in this age of Internet mp3 piracy.
There are multiple levels of Gay Music. Some bands are what we like to call Gateway Bands. They lure children in with Pop Grooves and Salacious Melodies leaving them wanting more. They’ll move on to more dangerous bands and the next thing you know you’ve got a homosexual for a child.
We’ve taken the time to highlight the bands that are particularly Gay. Please take the time and dissect your child’s CD / iTunes catalog. If you find 3 or more of these bands in their collection it is time to take action.
We Strongly recommend that you burn the CDs. Make sure your child is watching. Make sure they can feel the heat. It is crucial that the image remains emblazoned in their young minds. They need to know that if they continue to listen to these bands they may Burn eternally as well.

As if thats not funny enough it gets even better, Theres a list! Yay!

Bands to watch out for

Lil'Wayne, P!nK (gay family), The Black Keys, Coldplay, SlipKnot (make-up), RadioHead, Michael Jackson, Boredoms, School of Seven Bells (gay twins), Jason Mraz, Jonas Brothers, Rilo Kiley, Death Cab for Cutie, Sarah McLachlan, George Strait, Cold War Kids, Toby Keith (cowboy), P-Diddy, Black People, Vampire Weekend,King Crimson, Kate Bush (kissed a girl), Bob Dylan, Fleet Foxes, Sigur Ros (nudists), Twisted Sister, The Spores (endorse suicide), Scissor Sisters, Turbonegro, Rufus Wainwright, Merzbau, Ravi Shankar, The Butchies (lizbians), Wilco, Bjork (mb), Tech N9ne, Ghostface Killah, Bobby Conn, Morton Subotnik, Cole Porter, The String Cheese Incident, Eagles of Death Metal, Polyphonic Spree, The Faint, Interpol, Twisted Sister (jj), Tegan and Sara, Erasure, The Grateful Dead (drugs too), Le Tigre, Marilyn Manson (dark gay), The Gossip, The Magnetic Fields, The Doors, Phish, Queen, The Strokes, Morrissey(?questionable?), Metallica, Judas Priest, The Village People, The Secret Handshake, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Man or Astroman, Richard Cheese, Jay-Z, Depeche Mode, Kansas, Ani DiFranco, Fischerspooner, John Mayer, George Michael (texan), Angel Eyes, The Indigo Girls, Velvet Underground, Madonna, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, Eminmen, Nirvana, Boy George, Jon Brion, The Killers, Lou Reed, Lil' Wayne, Motorhead, Jill Sobule, Wilson Phillips, DMX, Wesley Willis, Lisa Loeb, Ted Nugent (loincloth), Dogstar, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Lil' Kim, kd lang, Frank Sinatra, Hinder, Nickleback, Justus Kohncke, Bob Mould, Clay Aiken, Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes, Corinne Bailey Rae, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Panic at the Disco, The Cure (makeup), Spin Doctors, The Deers, Lindsey Lohan, The Smiths, Beck, Tom Waits, The Cramps, Cannibal Corpse, Britney Spears(kissed Madonna), Perfect Sin, The Queers, NoFx(gay punk), Soup Dragons, Elton John(really gay)

I wonder if the people who run this website have kids and what music they do get to listen to. Theres not much left really. Of the listed bands I especially love the ones that give reasons/comments... some are also listed more than once... Elton John for example. My favorites are George Michael(texan) and Toby Keith (cowboy) because they make so little sense... are all cowboys and texans gay? 'cause if they are I am so moving to Texas...

In Our effort to keep this list up to date we'd appreciate your help. If you know of a band that is Gay or propogating a Gay message please email us so we can update. Donnie is handling this his email is: (I removed the email...)

The response is overwhelming. You guys know of a lot more Gay Bands than I do. I can't keep up. Hopefully soon we'll have it so you can add them by yourself.

So thats it. If you want to find the website just do what I did and google "gay". I hope you found this good for a laugh.

P.S. Favorite quote from the passage(I really want to find a way to incorporate this into a sentence i can use...):
"...and the next thing you know you’ve got a homosexual for a child."

Is this serious!?
They must think all of my friends are gay then .

I just googled this, and they've got explanations for some.
Apparently Britney will make you gay because she kissed Madonna, and Ted Nugent is enough to turn anyone gay because he wore a loincloth... Kate Bush once kissed a girl too. Obviously listening to her will turn you gay.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at their pathetically twisted logic.

Yea, Creed is entirely safe, and all parents want their 10 year olds listening to them! <_<

Funnily, The Jonas Brothers are the only ones who have a song on my playlist from the gay list XD

....how on EARTH does the grateful dead promote homosexuality? :S

It's very very very sad that someone actually took the time to conjure up a LIST of something ridiculous like that. *sigh*

(seriously, though. THE GRATEFUL DEAD?!)

LOL.
It gave me a good giggle to say the least.
Funny enough, i listen to most of the artists recommended to listen to, to prevent homosexuality.

Hmmm... funny that My Chemical Romance wasn't on there, what with all the Frerard and stuff.

And Cyndi Lauper is on the "safe" list? Seriously?

And, The Indigo Girls and Lil'Wayne were on there twice. Smart. Lol, this is so ridiculous.

Damn! So that's why I'm gay? All those years of hearing Frank Sinatra in my Grandfather's car?

Oddly, the one thing I'm fascinated by is "George Michael (texan)". What's that mean? George Michael is British, of Greek heritage. Is "texan" slang for gay now?

What I love most about George Michael being on the list is that he's dangerous for being a Texan

He isn't dangerous for being gay... Oh no... Not at all

Oh!! And as for Evanescence being on the safe list...
Don't get me wrong. I love Evanescence. Amy Lee is probably the only woman I would switch for...
But what about their song 'Tourniquet'?
The first words are: I tried to kill the pain, but only brought more

Doesn't sound like a very safe and Christian-loving song to me...
