This happens to probably about half of my threads now - a decent number of people view them but don't reply, even when it's ones where I need advice.
Some people just don't know how to answer a question that someone asks, I personally don't know how to answer some questions
I doubt you're doing anyhing wrong. Most of us who make threads know the feeling of no one posting, but I can say I'm turned off from answering a thread if the wording confuses me or I can't understand what the person's trying to ask. When I submit threads, I always read over them several times to check for grammar errors (only threads, I don't do this with posts), but mostly to check if what I'm saying flows in a nice way and wouldn't confuse me if I was a person that just stumbled upon my thread. You could try this if you don't already. I don't know how clear your other threads are, so I wouldn't know. Confusion is probably the number one reason I exit out of a thread.
When I don't respond to a thread it's usually just because I don't feel like I have anything to contribute. I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong, maybe people just don't know what to say?
I know how you feel, and I think it happens to everyone, sometimes, and can feel especially bad when you feel it's something really urgent/important to you. I'll try to look over some of your threads, and see if I can offer any help.
Not at all! Some people just don't respond to threads they aren't interested in. Fortunately, there are lots of us, so someone is bound to be interested. Also, sometimes people are just tired. I have read threads about bullying or parental abuse without responding. It's certainly not that I don't care, but I don't always have the energy to give the best response. I'm sure that people care about you!
This is my reason. Often times if I haven't been in a similar situation, I don't know what to say. And sometimes I'm afraid of saying the wrong thing and offending somebody.
