By the next century I feel Artificial Intelligence rights will be a hot topic.

There will be love between humans & artificial intelligence as we may have got to a point where we can make robots that look similar to humans who can experience a similar range of emotions etc.

In this glamorous future would YOU date a robot?

Do you think Robot & Human marriage should be acceptable?

Would love between robots & humans be real? (if the robot can feel the emotions humanc can and simulate them almost as well!)

**obviously most of you will be too old by 2090 (I plan on being immortal) but look at the scenario hypothetically**

I think I would as after all aren't we humans just machined programmed in an organic way? Yes robots may malfunction etc BUT SO DO WE...we just give it a different name (organic illness)

I saw an interesting Japanese anime where this was the focal question.

A robot could cook and clean and be there, and it wouldn't pressure me into having sex

This is a topic tackled in an episode of Futurama. They call humans who love robots robosexuals and the episode is about fighting for the right for robosexuals to marry (obviously a commentary on legalizing gay marriage). Also there is the recent film "Her" which deals with a man who falls in love with his AI operating system. It was kind of intriguing in that it kind of skirted a lot of the issues one would expect from a story like that. What was the anime you watched?

If robots genuinely felt emotion and could return love in a consensual manner, then I'd see no problem with having a relationship with a robot. I imagine the debate would bring up a lot of issues about what is "emotion" "free will" and "life." If robots were created by humans do they have souls? Do humans even have a soul? Questions like that.

    I might also be trans-bot.

I now imagine a futuristic Titanic-esque Robot-Human love story set on a Spacship sinking into a black hole!

Titagalactic will be the highest grossing movie of all time (to be released in 2095)!

I WANT A ROBOT!! Most humans start to get on my nerves after a while and I end up needing a break from them, lol so as long as the robot came with a switch so I could turn him off if he starts getting annoying I'd totally go for it.

If the robot is capable of complex emotions and so on, and is, for lack of a better word, a person, then why not?

I'd be 96 in 2090. Of course that won't be a problem as I'm planning on living for at least 600 years. There's too much to do in this world to NOT live as long as (im)possible. (The man living in the apartment below ours is 76 and cycles like 30km every day).
Hell yeah, I mean by 2090 I will probably have uploaded my brain onto an artificial brain and I'd be living in a robotic body anyway. I wouldn't want to choose the traits of the robots, that would be just weird.

Yes, that sounds cool. I kind of want to major in robotics or engineering when I'm older anyways.

If I'm still single by 2090 I guess I'm in no position to say no :icon_bigg

I would probably have your stereotypical robot and have him do all your stereotypical chores.. I mean, there could be a possibility things could happen, but in the end, it'd be me dating metal.. And it reminds me of the really lonely kids who used to dress up a bucket in hair and makeup and pretend it was a girlfriend.. :/
